minor improvement suggestion

Hello,
This is a very minor one (maybe easy?), but every little could help

When a server (I usually play TAW), is reducing in participation with an active vote, since the 'majority' vote for a map or to start is set at the vote start and doesn't change, it can create multiple rounds of voting which can only time out which does not serve the game well.
It would be really great if the maximum required for a successful vote adjusted downward as people leave the server or spectate. I have seen more than once a precipitous decline because people don't want to wait for successive vote timeouts just to have even smaller participation. It really works against desire for participation.

Thanks for anyone who would consider this as something which they could do, sorry not a programmer here.

This is one interpretation. Another reason might be that people do not leave immediately after a game finishes, in which case the current behavior would be good because it would prevents starting a game in which many/some will be away. I have seen that as well multiple times as well and it is not nice either (people with X comms given 1-2 minutes after game start / try to exit / etc.).

Not sure which is more common (people leaving because votes take long VS people leaving late after game finishes) just mentioning the possibility.

I can only speak for myself but I definitely leave when the death spiral begins. It's frustrating being locked into votes that have no chance of succeeding especially when people start "suggesting" their favourite maps.

I reckon the voting time could be reduced too tbh - even halved - maybe the first vote after a game ends normal time though - it's nice to have 2 minutes to take a quick break and grab a drink and people are still leaving the game.

The map vote after the game ends goes through way too quickly imo, usually only getting a few votes even in full lobbies. Which then might lead to people not liking the map and leaving. Only having 3 people vote for the next map when there is a full lobby doesn't make much sense. I am not sure if people just go do something else when the game ends or if they just take a while to leave the game (looking at graphs etc).

Given how few people map vote when a game ends, I do think people take a break for a few minutes or look at the prior games' statistics. A bit longer break before the map vote starts would be good with a timer displayed. Perhaps 3 or 4 minutes? Once the map vote starts, I think it should give about 1 minute to vote on a map. Theoretically, giving 4-5 minutes between matches plus loading time.

yes, some short break after a 25m+ game would be a great idea.

Sorry I misread - thinking it through yes, I wonder if a bit longer for that first vote could be wise.

Yeah a break could potentially be done based on how long the game was as well - I usually am either looking at stats or will go grab a drink etc. after a game longer than 30 min.

How long is the minimum break currently? (I guess you can count pregame time too).

A small break would also give people time to go to the toilet, grab a drink, etc.
I imagine a lot of the people that are afk at the start of a game but then appear after 30s-a few minutes are doing this.
Or they go grab something and come back to find they have been specced.

I've experienced a few instances where I was lagging so badly at the end of a game that I missed the following map vote entirely.
