I'm replaying the alpha and got my self sucked back into Blade's route (again). The last time I did a full playthrough I was kicking my feet gleefully at all the wee hints. This time what has struck me is how FERAL Blade is - the poor guy is BARELY holding himself together through Wallmire. No wonder Trouble and Chase find the whole thing hilarious. Anyway - that's all, love your work <3

Hello! I love this game! Buuuuuut I keep accidentally deleting all my saves! Is there a way to have it ask you first before it just… deletes everything? I usually have SO many saves. I get its my bad and I will just start new runs because I LOVE this game but I just thought I would ask! Thank you! ❤️

(My answer): Hi, thanks for your question! It took a few hours of hacking and finagling, but I managed to add a dialogue box that asks you to confirm before deleting all of your saves! That will be in the next alpha update–hope that helps!
Help with the new update
Hey, thanks for the wonderful update! I have two questions that will contain heavy spoilers for the alpha. 1. How do I cleanse Croelle of his demonic rot with magic? My MC has over 90 magic and the option doesn’t appear for me. 2. The update ended with Croelle asking me to trust him after I saved him. Does the chapter end here, or is this one of the incomplete routes you mentioned? Anyway, thank you and keep up the wonderful work!

(My answer): Hi, 1) you need a high relationship with Croelle (50 or more, which is an invisible stat), and a variety of stats, not just general Magic, in order to help him out. If you’re a Conjurer, you need over 90 Magic, over 90 Arcane, over 85 Psionic, and over 40 Astral. If you’re not a Conjurer, you need a maxed 100 Magic, over 95 Psionic, maxed Arcane, and over 50 Astral.
2) If you saw the “Chapter 12″ screen, which it sounds like you did, the update ends there–that’s the farthest the game has been written so far!
I really hope this hasn't been asked before - but I have seen comments where you can see somewhere what the relationship status is between the player and other characters.
Where is that in-game? I've looked but on the relationships screen all I see is a percentage score. The character screen doesn't contain it either.

Hi there, I can’t recall any recent asks off of the top of my head that refer to a mechanic like this, so sorry if I’m confusing what you’re referring to! Do you mean the status of each character underneath their affinity bar?
If you can’t see this, you might have toggled a setting in the Settings Menu to only show stat bars (simplifying the UI)!
Outside of that, you basically intuit what relationship status you have with a character by how they’re acting towards you, there isn’t really a specific mechanic other than this status indicator! (Which does make it very explicit when you’ve entered into a formal relationship with a character.)
There’s also Mimir, who will give you hints and indications of who you’re romancing and how many romance flags you have with them after you recruit her! You have to spend time with her on your day off, though!

Hi there, @/idrellegames has a wonderful tutorial on how to make a clickable HTML map here, and that’s also pointing to the one here! Hiev also has a tutorial on how to make a simpler image map here! These are all the standard way to make an interactive map!
The maps for Shepherds were developed through different methods, using JavaScript and DOM with a much more advanced programmer on board to help, but it was a team effort of some years ago that took many months to develop, so on top of it being too complicated for me to easily explain because the mechanics were beyond me, my memory is also extremely hazy because I blocked out a lot of that torturous development, lol. 😆 But I hope that this helps as a starting off point!

Hi, your Iron Will has to be at 55 or more in order to select that option! I’ll give you a hint, though, that it doesn’t actually break their engagement, so I wouldn’t get your hopes too high lol!
Hi! I'm in love with your work, making my way through the alpha right now and i've got a question that i havent been able to find an answer to on here. Is there a cap on the affinity percentage with RO's? Because i usually find ill get to a certain percentage early in a chapter, and then no matter what i do (i've scum saved A Lot to be sure lmao) the number won't go higher. Is this a mechanism you've put in place so their affinity progresses along with the plot you've written? It's probably obvious but i'd really like to be sure lmao
Hi there, yes, there is a changing soft cap on character relationships per chapter–to prevent people from maxing out, say, Trouble’s relationship in Chapter 1 lol, or Ayla from hitting 90% in the same chapter that you meet her; it helps with making the relationship development feel more authentic as the different character dynamics grow and change, especially with the day off character interludes! Like if Blade in his second character interlude is still acting like you’re acquaintances and he’s still reticent about sharing personal info, but his relationship meter reads 100%, that could also confuse people LOL. Hope that helps! :)

I’m not sure yet–February is looking crazy (because I’m getting married in a few weeks! 😱) but I’m guessing I’ll finish up the routes of Chapter 10 that I wasn’t able to complete this month, so we can have a fresh start to Chapter 11 as we move forward! (Though, of course, we have actually skipped an earlier section of Chapter 10 that I’m waiting to do once all of the character interludes are caught up!)

So I'm having a lil bit of analysis paralysis when it comes to the Faceless Lord who possessed the Western Hierophant. Literally been days and I haven't been able to bring myself past it :/ Without being spoilery, is there ANYTHING at all you can bread crumb as to whether it's wise or not to hide the possession/extort the Western Church? I mean, it "feels" wrong of course, but... may be necessary later to avoid something worse. A useful pocket trinket to have in a way. I.. have no idea. @.@ Or.. are the consequences of this at least in the current up to date demo to find out? I'm dyyyying here
Hi, since you don’t want me to be spoilery for now, I’ll just say that the consequences for this do manifest later in the current alpha build (though it’s several chapters away from the point that you’re at). And I’ll just say that neither choice (hiding the possession/extorting the Church) punishes you unduly, so I’d advise going with what your character would pick and seeing how it plays out naturally. Each has its own advantages in different ways, it just depends on what your character’s goals are!

How can I encourage Shery to stand up against her bully? I cant seem to choose that option to nudge her to do it. Am I missing something?
You have to have raised Shery’s invisible “harden” or courage stat to succeed in that! It will probably require going back through her previous days off and choosing options that overtly empower or encourage her further!
Big ass spoiler for the latest alpha update, I chose to let the vulnerable escape, and the only option to do it is relocation magic, but don't we have the secret door discovered in the vault chapter? (I just wanted to let you know, since I thought it could be a bug!)

Hi there, yes, there is the option to use that secret door, but it’s in the first option, the one that says to evacuate! I can tweak it in the future if that’s confusing, though! But it should show up for you if you’ve unlocked that in Chapter 8! If it doesn’t show up but your journal says you discovered the shortcut, then that would be a bug!
