5) When people say "x is better on blockchain," there's usually a better way to do x. I cited Mike Hearn who at the time said blockchain would help taxi dispatch or restaurant reviews. No sign of blockchain actually helping with either of these. (6/7)
I know some people disagree with all of the above. My 2014 article was unpopular among folks long in cryptocurrency. Some resorted to personal attacks rather than discuss the merits. I’ve enjoyed seeing quite a few people come around to many of these views. (7/7)
Wow. This is a real birthday present: The Court (per Justice Barrett) has radically restricted the scope of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act — the statute that the United States said had violated. Applying Barrett’s reading, he plainly did not.
