As smartphones become increasingly more powerful, a new generation of highly interactive user-centric mobile apps emerge to make user's life simpler and more productive. However, the construction of such apps requires developers to spend a considerable amount of time dealing with the architecture constraints imposed by the wide variety of platforms, tools, and devices offered by the mobile ecosystem, thereby diverting them from their main goal of building such apps. Therefore, we propose a mobile-based middleware architecture that alleviates the burdensome task of dealing with low-level architectural decisions and fine-grained implementation details by focusing on the separation of concerns and abstracting away the complexity of orchestrating device sensors and effectors, decision-making processes, and connection to remote services, while providing scaffolding for the development of higher-level functional features of interactive high-performance mobile apps. Summary This paper presents the performance analysis of the novel concept of limited multiuser detection (MUD) for direct sequence code division multiple accesses (DS- CDMA). The novel concept uses the correlation properties and bit streaming for reduced complexity architecture to meet real time requirement for asynchronous multiuser detection in wireless communication. To mitigate the effect of multiple access interference (MAI), this paper proposes a novel technique of multiplication and subtraction (Multisub) of cross correlation factor with receiving signal at output of matched filter, which is the first stage of parallel interference cancellation (PIC) multistage multiuser detector. Finding the location of a TAG is very important especially when objects to which the tags are attached are to be tracked. Tracking of the objects is a complicated process especially when there is fall down of the objects in the unknown places during airline crashers, atmospheric disasters etc. The objects must be tracked accurately, just finding the distance of an object from a master mobile device is not sufficient. It is also necessary to find the location of the object in relation to directions (North, NorthEast , West, SouthWest etc.,) in addition to the distance of the object from the master (hand held mobile device) accurately. In this paper a novel method has been presented using which the location of an object can be accurately determined.

RS485 based networking of distributed embedded systems is most effective as every microcontroller based embedded system has built-in serial communication interface. Establishing a network connecting heterogeneous microcontroller based systems become quite simple when RS485 based communication is used. However RS485 suffers from too much of overhead due to the need for transmitting the addresses along with Data. HUB based RS485 based communication eliminates transmission overheads. In this paper HUB based RS485 based networking of heterogeneous embedded systems that suits to a pilot project that monitors and controls the temperature within a Nuclear reactor system has been presented. RS485 based networking is quite often used for establishing a distributed embedded system. The communication among the embedded systems that are connected in a network is established through a serial communication protocol. The embedded systems are identified with station numbers at the time when the embedded system gets connected to the network. Most of the communication is initiated through the master. Applications that are implemented on a distributed embedded network needs that the messages flow in a chronological sequence which can undergo a change from time to time based on the environmental conditions prevailing when the system is in running state. The criticality conditions as such keep changing from time to time. The way the messages flows across the network changes dynamically. In this paper, a dynamic scheduling algorithm has been presented that effects the communication as per the environmental conditions prevailing at any point in time.

In order to evaluate the use of mobile devices (laptops) and desktops and the potential of mobile devices in collaborative environments vs desktops, it was performed an experiment involving one hundred and twelve students of higher education. This study has the main objective to validate if the students that use laptops or desktops are in the flow experience and which of them are more in the flow experience. This study is based on the flow experience introduced by Csikszentmihalyi (1975). The main purpose of this study is to establish whether the user is in the flow experience when using Google Groups when using laptops or desktops.
