MPLAB® X IDE v5.40 (and later) are now 64-bit applications and 64-bit operating systems are required for using MPLAB X IDE.

MPLAB X IDE may run on the various other Linux distributions.

Unsupported Configurations

MPLAB X IDE does not support Virtual Machines.
