    The city has released a set of adorable paintings of panda touring the city. Hope it's true that great panda is no longer an endangered specie. Chengdu does have a lots of pandas hahahaha! And it‘s also the rare city that Chairman Mao statue still stays as a historical landmark.

    上元安康！ 元宵快乐！ The 15th day of the lunar new year marks the end ofa whole month of feasts and festivities. People eat tangyuan and go out to watch lantern shows with the family. And Team Chengdu has officially submitted Worldcon 2023 site selection bid documents. Yeah!!!

    Derek attended last year's SF Gala. And this year more international writers joined this event.

    I wrote a piece for about participating in the Chinese SF Gala in earlier in the year. Chinese SF has been on the upswing for some time. You can read translated Chinese SF short stories at and subscribe to Locus for more publishing industry news.
