Texas Government Code, Chapter 552, gives you the right to access government records. An officer for public information and the officer's agent may not ask why you want them. All government information is presumed to be available to the public, though certain exceptions may apply to the disclosure of the information.

Texas Government Website Archive (TRAIL)
TRAIL searches and locates information collected in an archive of more than 180 Texas state agency web servers.
Texas Heritage Online (THO) is a cooperative project to identify, describe, digitize, preserve, and make broadly accessible special collections of history and culture held by libraries, archives, museums, historical societies, and other institutions in Texas.
The TexShare card program is a reciprocal borrowing program. It is designed to allow the registered users of participating institutions to directly borrow materials from the libraries of other participating institutions.
TexShare is a consortium of Texas libraries joining together to share print and electronic materials, purchase online resources, and combine staff expertise.
