The Largest Episcopalian Communities
The Protestant Episcopal Church is the largest Anglican body in the United States, and one of the country's oldest denominations. Nearly all affiliated Episcopalians or Anglicans in the United States are members of this religious body. Today the church has about 2.4 million members.
The Episcopal Church was long known for the prominence of its members, including a "quarter of US presidents, half of the chief justices of the Supreme Court, the Vanderbilts, the Mellons, the Astors, Jefferson Davis, Fiorello La Guardia, Nat King Cole." [Source.]
