Zipped Up (Web Animation)
"Their hometown bliss was all these kids experienced before, but that all changed the day they found that Zipper on the floor..."note
"There's a whole lotta worlds out there, my friend, and the next one might be home!"

Zipped Up is an upcoming American web animated series created by Prettlophine Cotton and Brynn Lewis, and produced by BlipToons. The series follows Alejandra (voiced by Daniela Valkova) and Nelly (voiced by Jahri Cofield), two high-schoolers who accidentally get flung into the multiverse by a magical Zipper. They land in a sci-fi western universe where they meet Levi (voiced by Elise Lepley) and Gadget (voiced by Michael Kovach), who are helping them get back to their home world. Together, these four heroes unzip their way though different worlds, helping those in need and bringing hope, all while on the run from Vapor (Jalen Askins), RCCK (Justin K. Brown) and the Galactic Nova Alliance.

It seems we've landed in a universe of Tropes!

  • All There in the Manual: There's a comic dub on the BlipToons channel that shows Alejandra and Nelly landing in Levi and Gadget's world and meeting them for the first time.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: The Galactic Nova Alliance has many multiversal kings, queens and rulers, but our main ones are Vapor, RCCK, Kester, D.O.M, Gill, Twiggs, and Miss Fortune.
  • Cattle Punk: Levi and Gadget come from a wild west universe inhabited by both humans and robots!
  • Circus Episode: The Pilot involves our four heroes getting stuck in an infinite carnival universe, with the main attraction being a circus lead by Kester, the king of this universe.
  • Expository Theme Tune: The theme song describes how Alejandra and Nelly got themselves into this situation, what they have to face and what the multiverse is like all while being a catchy pop rock tune!
  • Four-Fingered Hands: The art style of this show follows this trope, even with the humans.
  • Four-Man Band: Our ensemble of main characters, Alejandra, Nelly, Levi, and Gadget, form this trope.
  • Gleeful and Grumpy Pairing: Levi, an optimistic, cheerful cowboy, is often seen with his pessimistic, cynical, robot sidekick, Gadget.
  • Hope Bringer: Our main heroes solve conflicts and help whoever they can to power the Zipper Keys and get to wherever they land next!
  • Interdimensional Travel Device: Zipper Keys are small, zipper-like devices that can open Zipper Portals to other worlds.
  • The Moral Substitute: The series was created as a kid friendly version of both the Hellaverse and The Amazing Digital Circus.
  • The Multiverse: It's what this show is all about! Our heroes travel the multiverse with Zipper Keys, which are powered by hope, so they have to resolve whatever conflict that they're in before they can leave.
  • Villains Out Shopping: In a promotional video, it shows Kester (portrayed by his official plushie) and Vapor (portrayed by a cosplayer) entering our world and doing many mundane things, such as shopping for party supplies, going to a fancy restaurant and falling into a food coma.
