Go To

Korean Fried Chicken (Abbreviated as KFC) is a Korean Object Show web-series created by Hnwoo (현우) which first aired on 15 May 2024. While not the first foreign-language object shownote , KFC is the first to be entirely in Korean (Though English subtitles are provided).

The uneventful lives of forty-eight objects at the grassy plains are turned upside by Zipper Block and Co-Host offering them a bucket of delicious fried chicken as the grand prize in their competition show.

Watch the episodes and specials on the official playlist.

Contains the following tropes:

  • Actor Allusion: Kei B and Fally are boyfriends which mirrors their respective creators and recommenders who are also in a romantic relationship.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": Surprisingly enough, considering the cast size and type of show, only 14 out of 49 characters are directly named after the object they embody.note  The rest fall under either A Lizard Named "Liz" or other.
  • A Lizard Named "Liz": Comes in two variations
    • The first is the standard "-y" suffix on top of their self-explanatory name with Broomy (Broom), Fally (Fall Autumn Leaf), Hatty (Hat).
    • The second and more common in the series is the character's name is a play on their object with Cube (Rubix Cube), Cutter (Boxcutter), Drag (Computer Mouse), Mint (Mint Ice Cream Cone), Pint (Ice Cream Sundae), Ticker (Pocket Watch), Valentine (Heart box of chocolate), Watering (Watering Can) and Yaki (Yakitori).
  • Alliterative Name: Two contestants are named Candy Cat and GwagGwanat.
  • Alliterative Title: The second episode, "Candy Cituation" is deliberately misspelled for the sake of the trope.
  • Anthropomorphic Food: A considerable portion of contestants are food-basednote .
  • Armless Biped: A bunch of contestants played straightnote  with a couple of invertednote  and limblessnote  examples.
  • Dwindling Party: As per usual for an competition-based Object Show. Although due to the massive cast size, half of the eight teams are put up for elimination with one contestant eliminated from each team per episode so as to not drag out the competition.
  • Ensemble Cast: The show packs a whopping 49 characters, consisting of 2 hosts and 47 contestants, such that eliminations had to be one contestant each from the four losing teams per episode.
  • Multiple Head Case: Pint is an ice cream sundae with the three ice-cream scoops for heads but a single bowl and set of limbs for a body.
  • Non-Human Non-Binary: A good dozen of contestants identify as non-binarynote , a few with "It/Its" pronounsnote  and one going by any pronouns (Laxy). All of whom are some sort of Animate Inanimate Object.
  • Non-Indicative Name: Host who, in spite of their name, is the co-host of Korean Fried Chicken since that honor goes to ZB.
  • Plant Person: Tulip as the only flower-based object of their namesake.
  • Where the Hell Is Springfield?: The main contest area and where the contestants resides is called "The Great Plains" which is vast grassland with nothing but a few shrubs and lots of free space.
