The Battle Bricks
is a 2.5D single-player Tower Defense game created by Tumore on Roblox, and it is released in September 6th, 2022. It is inspired by The Battle Cats, but with classic Roblox-esque elements shown in game such as Sword Fight on the Heights, Doomspire Brickbattle, and more to go...
The game has lots of battlers to be used in battle, and most of them can be unlocked either through buying them with Bricks (Special Battlers) or buying the Gacha Cards to unlock certain Battlers of various rarities. As of now, the game has 4 main story chapters with several sub-chapters (in addition to Tumore Mode, harder version of normal levels).
Troping it easy!
- Achievement System: The game has few achievements you could achieve to unlock special battlers by beating a certain chapter in 3 Stars.
- Beating the chapters in Normal version unlocks friendly versions of the final bosses of respective chapters.
- While in Tumore Mode, you'll unlock Tumored versions of the main battlers, similar to Crazed Cats.
- Action Girl: Stagger Battler and her old counterpart Sai Battler counts to this.
- Advancing Wall of Doom: Father's alt form Crusher is a sentient monstrous wall, complete with massive health pool and damage power!
- April Fools: The game has 3 instances of April Fools content:
- The first-ever April Fools event in 2023 introduces drastic changes to the environment to the point of being filled with memes, and the soundtrack is also changed.
- The 2024 April Fools Event has all of battlers and enemies' models resembling the characters from Madness Combat using the said art style.
- The 2025 April Fools Event features a score system in gameplay.
- Area 51: The entire battle against EXEC & his alt-form X-TREME took place inside the said facility. It is also based on the Survive in Area 51 genre of games.
- An Ice Person: The entirety of Frozen Legion subchapter enemies are centered around using ice powers, along with the Iceball/Frigus Battler.
- Anti-Structure: There are units and enemies with Base Destroyer traits, such as the Hammer Battler, Lil' Doombringer, and more.
- Awakening the Sleeping Giant: Bedridden's alt form Treachstone starts off sleeping, and when he awakes... He'll unleash devastating abilities to your peons.
- In Chapter 4 Stage 28: Weird and Strict, Father & his alt form Crusher can be spawned in a surprise when the enemy base lost most of its health. Sure, this was unexpected.
- Awesome, but Impractical:
- Special Battlers:
- Lil' Deathbringer, the alternate form of Lil' Doombringer which is obtained by beating Chapter 1 on 3 Stars difficulty, loses his tankiness and armor but rages at half health, sacrificing nearby enemies to become stronger before violently spinning at a high speed, decimating any enemies in his path. However, his lack of armor and the fact that he only becomes enraged at half health makes him vulnerable to death while angry. This could be especially upsetting in older versions of the game, where he would sacrifice allies instead of enemies.
- Tarnished Battlers, the alternate forms of the Tumored units obtained through Badges in Tumore Mode, as opposed to upgraded versions of previous units, are very strong versions of them, with some even considering them ally versions of bosses. But at the cost of this, they have very long recharge rates and become extremely expensive, costing a minimun of 2000$ to send out.
- Tarnished Battler is the alt form of the Tumored Battler, who is more powerful and tanky than ever, but it makes the unit moves much slower. He attacks by pounding the ground, dealing splash damage and summoning few Tumored Battlers if successful. He summons 10 Tumored Battlers upon dying.
- Tarnished Trowel is the alt form of the Tumored Trowel, he is a walking giant who can transform into the Tarnished Wall upon dying. The giant wall itself has massive health which can support your units like backliners from deadly enemy attacks, and it never decays.
- Tarnished Sword is the alt form of Tumored Sword, which is a four-armed sword-wielding titan. It's attack stats becomes much stronger, and capable of slashing much faster when it gradually loses its health. When it has one arm remaining, it becomes enraged and starts moving faster.
- Gacha Battlers:
- Megaphone Battler is an unit that stuns enemies temporarily with loud and annoying noises within an area. His alt form Micspammer Battler allows himself to stun enemies in the whole stage, yet attacks much slower and has a higher cost.
- Coil Battler is a high-damaging ranged unit, which can hit his enemies without missing them. His alt form Rail Battler gives more range and devastating damage, but it needs a long time to do so. The most important thing is that these units need some good timing into attacking enemies, and necessary protection from enemy attacks via meatshields to avoid plenty of your Rail Battlers from getting killed.
- Moai Battler is a tanky battler who gains more resistance or durability whenever he attacks by knocking back enemies with his treats, but at the cost of moving much slower than usual. His alt form Tiki Battler instead attacks enemies by throwing fireballs at them like the Fireball Battler, which makes him faster but at the risk of losing resistance for each attack.
- Prototype Battler is a robotic-looking battler that does a wind-up but slowing your peons for 15 seconds, which gives a big speed boost upon your units if successful. It's alt form Archetype Battler has a power to reduce enemies' maximum health to 33% amount of their normal health, which starts with healing them first.
- Werewolf Battler starts off as a cheap melee battler, who transforms into an angry werewolf if 5 of your friendly battlers gets killed in action. His alt form Beastly Battler transforms into a monstrous being which requires 15 amount of the friendly battlers killed by your enemies, but he has longer recharge and more expensive deployment cost.
- The Periastron Battlers such as Mu, Psi, and Iota, their alt forms gives them more special abilities. With Psi's alt form Crimson unleashing hellfire storms at enemies, Noir going invisible after triple successive shadow slashes at any enemy, and Ivory unleashing a meteoric projectile storm on the enemies. However, these units are very expensive to deploy, costing 2000$ at 1 star and 4000$ at 3 stars.
- Chairman is an Uber unit capable of becoming enraged when losing much of his health, he is mostly good at handling the frontliners with rapid hit attacks. His alt form Raigquitter switches to throwing tables towards the enemies, which is good for handling backlines at the expense of having more spawn cost.
- Conjuror is a stationary ranged unit that attacks enemies by dropping 3 fists from above whenever your base's cannon is activated. His alt form, dubbed Trebuchet instead uses a catapult which lobs a boulder at the enemy, dealing heavy damage at the cost of higher summon cost and longer recharge.
- Operator is the military sergeant who can summon a fighter jet when the enemy gets close to the unit, then wields a gun and acts like a ranged unit afterwards. His alt form Commander allows him to summon a strong and durable Tank into the battlefield.
- Bluesteel is a really tanky backliner unit capable of turning his enemies into steel statues that can apply resistance to your peons when created or destroyed. His alt form, Goldaurum, prioritizes summoning golden statues that gives more enemy bounty for their allies instead, but has much less armor. However, his high cost and recharge makes him less viable in higher difficulties, and as for his alt form, his high cost means that when you are able to send him out efficiently, your income will most likely be already good enough to not need his cash anyways.
- Banks:
- The Detonator is one of the banks with a unique mechanic. It gives you massive enemy bounty for your bank's profit and well, it has a timer that can cost your base if it reaches zero. Using this bank is very effective in quickly completing stages, but is very risky to handle.
- Ignition is a special bank that provides permanent stats buff upon all of your friendly units for a limited time whenever you upgrade it, and it synergizes well with support battlers like Bugle/Drummer and Protest/Outcry Battlers. The major downside is that it has a very slow income when compared to other banks, meaning you have to use certain battlers like Tix Collector/B. Money and Sailor/Pirate Battler to handle the profits, and its permanent buff ability can't last long even after being maxed.
- Blood Altar is yet another special bank with a very unique gimmick, being its Blood Meter meant to unleash deadly powers of the Blight upon the enemies, even summoning a friendly Blight! The Blood Meter increases itself at a slow amount, and it can gain more of it through killing enemies and the deaths of your friendly battlers. It has the same profit/income as the Default bank, but it lacks the enemy bounty as its downside.
- Special Battlers:
- Berserk Button: Some Battlers can enter this phase like the Chairman, Penny/Betty when receiving some damage. Even bosses like Doombringer/Deathbringer and Cesus can do this when they have lost a lot of HP.
- Blue Is Heroic: The blue battlers, a.k.a. the main protagonists of the game are bound to being the heroes of the game.
- Bolt of Divine Retribution: The Angel enemy called Judgement is known for casting a lightning bolt on his enemies whenever he receives damage. His alt-form called Punishment has stronger lightning strikes that can strike all of your battlers when he's defeated.
- Boring, but Practical:
- Main & Special Battlers:
- Battler is the most basic of the units, he simply attacks, considering he is the starter unit of the game. His alt form blonde battler gives him a handsome hair, but doesn't give different abilities other than being a cosmetic.
- Trowel Battler is a cheap option for laying defenses for your peons via brick walls, at the cost of having very low DPS in combat. His alt form Builder Battler lays down a stronger brick wall that progressively becomes more durable time by time.
- Sword Battler is a melee unit with better damage and short range, and his alt form Brigand Battler deals even more damage with slower attack rate.
- Slinger Battler is the main ranged unit that flings projectiles with his slinger, but his alt form Stunner Battler switches to using a stun gun that can stun enemy peons.
- Baller Battler is a ranged unit that throws dodgeballs at enemies, with a knockback effect. His alt form Soccer Battler has better knockback effect and range but reduced damage, thus making it a backliner support on your team.
- Bomb Battler is a typical crowd-control unit, he carries a bomb that takes a few seconds to blow up. If timed correctly, he'd be good for clearing enemy peons. He has an alt form called Kamikaze Battler which rushes to the enemy and blowing up instead, albeit with slightly weaker damage.
- Rocket Battler is your explosive ranged battler of the team, he deals splash damage through shooting explosive rockets at enemies. His alt form Crocket Battler is even more powerful with bigger explosions, but attacks much slower.
- Paintball Battler shoots paintballs towards enemies, damaging multiple enemies within a small radius. His alt form Sniper Battlers switches to shooting enemies from afar complete with armor piercing attribute.
- Speed Battler is a fast-runner that inflicts quick melee damage, it also works as a good frontal meat-shield for your peons. His alt form Dual Speed Battler is much faster, and attacks enemies through charging them while dealing high damage instead of rapidly hitting enemy peons.
- Krip is a rapid-firing ranged unit armed with a gun, he's good into handling most enemy peons but for stronger enemies he needs support from other battlers and additional amounts of the same unit. He has an alt form called Mafia Krip with higher ammo and range.
- Hammer Battlers are melee Battlers with splash damage within close range, they are also packed with armor meaning they can survive against enemies with rapid-firing attacks like Uzi Rambos and Speed Battlers. His alt form Banhammer Battler can unleash 3 shockwaves whenever he attacks, but he has longer attack cooldown.
- Grenade Battlers are explosive throwing battlers, they throw grenade which explodes after landing on the nearby enemy. His alt form Arson Battler wields a molotov bomb that can burn enemies after being hit in a splash damage radius and has fire-immunity.
- Spartan Battler is a shielded warrior that can kick enemies when reaching 50% of their HP, his alt form Barbaric Battler allows a charged rush at the enemies, which brings heavy damage at the cost of higher summoning price and longer recharge.
- Cloak Battler is a stealthy battler that turn invisible, making him undetected from enemies. His alt form Cyber Battler is capable of rushing to the enemies by teleporting towards them, and his slashes can weaken enemies.
- Stagger Battler and her alt form Slasher Battler marks the return of Sai Battler/Katana Battler to the gameplay, even with similar abilities to its previous iteration. The Stagger jumps towards the backliners whenever she attacks first and deal three time the damage if lands on enemy, while Slasher instantly dash her target once dealing AOE damage to where she slashed into.
- Gacha Battlers:
- Ninja Battlers are ranged units who can throw shurikens at the enemy peons, they are an good alternative for Slinger Battler and other ranged units like Paintball Battler. His alt form is called Assassin Battler, which throws a single kunai that can pierce through enemies instead of three shurikens per throw.
- Healer Battlers are there to heal your units, they're helpful into healing one of your peons especially for your backliners. His alt form Medic Battler allows healing in an AOE effect, at the cost of increased price and summoning cooldown.
- Brew Battler is a support battler who can weaken nearby enemies by throwing Witches Brew drinks at them, her alt form Binge Brew Battler makes her able to breathe her Witch's Brew at the enemies with a stronger weaken effect.
- Goala Battler is a beverage-wielding battler that knockbacks enemies by throwing Goala drinks at them ala Grenade Battler. His alt form Binge Goala Battler instead breathes his Goala at the enemies with stronger knockback effect.
- Cola Battler, much like Brew and Goala Battlers throws Cola drinks at enemies, but this one slows them down by 20% amount. His alt form Binge Cola Battler breathes at enemies with stronger debuff effect at 30% amount.
- Slateskin Battler is a support battler that provides armor on your units through his dose of slateskin. His alt form Ceramic Battler turns into a tanky ceramic statue instead.
- Hobo Battlers are good alternatives for cheap units that can be sent to push back enemy peons like the Battler, his alt form Hoarder Battler gains armor at the cost of reduced speed, health and higher recharge time.
- Fencer Battlers are fencing sword fighters that stabs enemies, they're super effective against armored enemies as they ignore their armor and deals twice the amount of damage towards them. His alt form Scherma Battler is more slower but has armor and deals more damage. His Anti-Red trait makes him effective against red enemies like Gallants/Shieldmans, Bucket Taggers/Treasure Sellers, and Gargants/Gehennas.
- Archer Battlers are ranged-attacking battlers who shoots arrows that pierce through enemies, which is good for damaging enemy backliners. Her alt form Crossbow Battler makes her fire slower, but her arrows now pierces up to 5 enemies at once.
- Trainee Battler is a cheap ranged unit which works like Krip, but weaker in terms of stats and good in high numbers. His alt form Drafted Battler is slightly stronger, albeit with faster rate of fire but less damage.
- Sleepy Battler is a sleepwalking melee battler who has resistance while sleeping, making him somewhat tanky. He'll lose his resistance upon waking up after being hit. His alt form Knightly Battler gives him armor instead of resistance, yet he'll lose it after 5 hits.
- Expo Battler is a rapid-firing ranged battler which increases its firerate upon locking into the enemy, and it has a slight AOE on his gun's projectiles. His alt form Vulcan Battler sacrifices the AOE effect for single-target damage.
- Fireball Battler is an elemental battler who works exactly like Arson Battler, which can burn multiple enemies. His alt form Ignis Battler has higher range, bigger splash, and burn effect inflicted on the enemies.
- Iceball Battler is a ice-element battler who fires freezing projectiles unlike his brother Fireball Battler, which slows multiple enemies in terms of movement and attack speed. They're also capable of extinguishing Kamikaze Battlers' and Bomber Battlers' dynamites, which can prevent them from ruining your unit crowd. His alt form Frigus Battler has stronger freezing effect and higher range.
- Tix Collector is a support unit meant to increase your bank profits even in high numbers, he simply stands on your base and unable to attack enemies, but they're very fragile in terms of health. His alt form B-Money has better profits while being more expensive in terms of deployment cost and has an extremely long recharge time.
- Banks:
- Default is your standard bank, and it has no special abilities to boot. It gives decent amount of cash for deploying battlers, yet it's not as fast as Investment and Powerhouse. It has a maximum of 8 levels.
- Investment is a different type of Bank, which gives you a slow profit on start but gradually becomes better on higher levels as it gives you massive amount of cash which is mostly useful for deploying expensive battlers without giving them longer deployment cooldowns.
- Main & Special Battlers:
- Cool Bike: The Motorbike Battler utilizes a motorbike to ram his enemies, dealing great damage. Hyperbike Battler is even cooler thanks to his futuristic theme, complete with better stats at the cost of being more expensive to summon.
- Critical Hit Class: Gamble Battler's damage is surprisingly high considering his high range, high spammabilty that creates stacks fast, and fast attack rate, but balances it out by having only a 1/6 chance of successfully attacking, with the rest of the 5/6 making him fail to attack, but making it more likely to land a successful attack, with the chances reverting to normal upon successful attack. His alt form, Luckroll Battler, takes this trope to the next level as rolling the successful 1/6 chance now gives you an area attack that hits so hard that it effectively one-hit kills most non-boss enemies and heavily cripples anything that survives. To balance this out, the unsuccessful 5/6 chance outright kills him.
- One of the Red Herring enemies known as the Princess is bound to this, she's a fast melee attacker who can deal critical damage at a 10% chance per hit. Her alt form Sweetheart attacks a bit slower, and makes her able to instantly kill any unit on her path.
- Defeat Means Playable: Should you clear the Crimson Skies subchapter on 1-star Tumore, the Blood Altar bank gains one more ability in its repetoire: the ability to summon a weaker version of Blight, the final boss of the subchapter that you just beaten to get this ability, though this is only accessible in Tumore difficulty.
- Devious Daggers: Some battlers wield a dagger as their weapon, such as the Cloak Battler, Stagger Battler and the Icedagger Battler.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Far off in the background of the final stage of chapter 4, Teapots of Utopia, you can see a white cross with a blue center. Said cross, simply named Cross, is one half of the boss that you'll have to face off against in the harder Tumore difficulty version of Teapots of Utopia.
- Eldritch Abomination: The Tumored versions of the main battlers (Battler, Trowel, and Sword) are bound to be monstrous but more special counterparts of the originals, their alt forms are really horrifying to look at.
- Faceless Eye: Blinder/Confuddler of Chapter 3 appears to be an eye-headed entity.
- Final Boss: Each chapter and certain subchapters have their own (in both modes):
- The main chapters:
- The first chapter's final boss is the Doombringer himself, he is one of the strongest hammer wielders known to the battlers. His alt-form Deathbringer is his wrathful revived form, with goals to take down your peons.
- The second chapter has Turking, the red warrior from the heights. He is capable of summoning his servants in combat and could breathe fire after eating his fried chicken. His alt-form Infernus is more serious in his job, and much more intimidating.
- The third chapter has the tech expert EXEC, he could use admin powers with his technology. His alt-form is the robotic being X-TREME.
- The fourth chapter has the god-like entity Cesus, whose alt-form called Chronos/Cross is even more angelic than ever.
- The subchapters:
- Coil Chaos has Fusecoil, the coil master, he has an angelic alt-form called Soulfuse.
- Birthday Bash has the Birthday Battler, his alt form Celebration Battler summons the Giant Noob out of nowhere, who can also devour your peons. Happy Birthday!
- Frozen Legion had Bedridden, the slumbering titan who dislikes the enemies interrupting his sleep. He can unleash fists on your peons, and becomes enraged when you use your base's cannon. His alt form Treachstone works differently, he sleeps while standing on the base, and can be woken up after taking a damage or activating your cannon.
- Muffin Kombat 2 has the Catalog Muffin, the leader of the Muffin army, whose alt form is the paranoid apocalyptic cultist Doomsday Muffin.
- Crimson Skies subchapter has the Apostle, a big red knight who can summon and even taking advantage of his mooks for fighting against you. His alt form is the monstrous Outcast who can summon the immortal demonic entity called Blight.
- The main chapters:
- Foreshadowing: The description of the Blood Altar bank mentions how "only the worthy of the Blight will be allowed to make full use of this...". This refers to how there is an extra ability you can gain for the Blood Altar should you fully beat Crimson Skies, the subchapter where you get this bank, on Tumore mode, which has you fight against the Blight itself and gain its approval after you beat it in battle.
- Fragile Speedster: Some playable and enemy battlers like Glass Battler/Payload Battler, Rusher Battler/Dark Rusher Battler, and Sprinter Muffin/Exploder Muffin count to this typing.
- Glass Cannon: The Glass Battler/Payload Battler is considered an obvious example of being an unit that embodies the said trope, it does help with it's massive damage at the cost of very fragile health.
- The Grim Reaper: An Uber Unit called Dark Reaper is an obvious example of this, he wields a scythe in combat. Being killed makes him enter his Bloodlust phase, which can be maximized by the meeting the maximum amount of kills done by this unit. His alt form Lord Skelly is more of a necromancer who summons skeletons upon being killed.
- The Executioner, who is an alt-form of Amputator is also considered such. It is capable of summoning skeletons whenever he kills a battler.
- Hard Mode Perks: In the window where you can see details about your chosen stage, there are a set of six options up top that allow you to multiply the current magnifications by the standard 1x all the way up to 6x in exchange for gaining an additive 20% more XP for every multiplier past 1x (e.g. 2x gives a 20% boost, 3x gives 40%, and so on). Be careful if you decide to use this feature on higher stars or Tumore as things can get out of control very easily, to the point where the supposedly-easy first two bosses of Chapter 1 can end up becoming surprisingly difficult!
- Joke Character: Papaler, Birthday Battler and Friend all fall under this. They all have the high price of 1000$ but do little to nothing in combat, with Papaler even dying when an enemy gets close to him. This is subverted with their alternate forms, especially Omega Friend.
- Lethal Joke Character: The newest addition to the joke character roster of battlers; Blud, has this trope applied to him. He's obtainable once you win and escape his very own rage game taking the form of a seemingly harmless front-page obby game, and as a battler ingame, he's able to tank a non-lethal hit, reducing it to 1/3 of its original damage whilst gaining a charged critical hit attack that deals out three times the damage of its original attack power. One more thing, his presence also results in sending all of your Krip/Mafia Krip units to the said obby.
- His alt form; Blood, turns him into a mini-boss unit. Allowing him to upgrade his weapon which boosts his stats after gaining certain amounts of kills.
- Mad Bomber: Bomb Battler's alt form Kamikaze Battler, Bomber Battler or his super quick alt form Dark Bomber Battler, Sprinter Muffin's alt form Exploder Muffin, and Fatboy along with its alt form Warhead counts as being rushers whom are ready to destroy the enemy base with their explosive power.
- Magikarp Power:
- Friend is a special battler that does nothing other than waving enemies, making it somewhat pointless. However, his alt form Omega Friend becomes an efficient combatant with armor and healing effect per attack. To obtain this battler, you must beat Raigforce (Another game made by Tumore) in Raiging Time, which is difficult because of how unfair said game is.
- Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Retro Battler, and his alt form Atari Battler, may appear to have normal health mechanics like everyone else at first, but his description gives away what his gimmick is: he can only tank 4 attacks, no matter how powerful or weak they may be, until he dies, with each hit taken also granting him a bit of Mercy Invincibility.
- Mighty Glacier: A fair share of battlers here are quite strong!
- For Friendly Battlers:
- Titan Battler is a slow-moving giant with strong damage power, he has an alt form called Telamon Battler who heals himself through eating his fried chicken club per attack.
- Tumored Trowel's alt form Tarnished Trowel is a giant walking wall, he turns into an almost indestructible wall with Omni-Immunity when defeated.
- Teapot Battler is walking teapot-headed mech, he can become enraged if it wasn't attacking, providing boosted speed and strength. Its alt form Newell Battler changes its fighting style from a melee attacked to being a ranged attacker through launching teapots from its rear cannons.
- Not just the Friendlies, but also the enemies and bosses:
- Doombringer is the final boss of Chapter 1, who fought against his enemies with a Banhammer. Not only being tanky, he has various abilities in battle such as giving buckets to his allies for buffing their defenses and entering his berserker state in his last phase. His alt form, called Deathbringer is even stronger. He punches his enemies with his fists, and has 3 phases!
- Bulldozer is the alt form of Redbeard, which utilizes a minigun and heavy armor, as opposed to using a cannon and slowing battlers with his drink. When losing his armor, he'll rush to your base until he's defeated.
- Gargants are the red titans of Chapter 2, they're hammer wielding armored giants who smashes his enemies closer to him. When losing armor, he'll become enraged and making his attacks gain a shockwave effect. However, his alt form Gehenna has an additional ability of unleashing an AOE hellfire aura that can damage your peons.
- The enemy counterpart of Celebration Battler summons a gigantic monster called Giant Noob after being killed, which is capable of devouring normal-sized battlers and has high amount of health.
- Stalagmights are enemies with high resistance that burrow through the ground as a surprise attack. His melee attacks have high power and knockback to your peons, making him able to ruin your army if not being dealt with quick. His alt form, Stalagcythe, allows him to unleash blizzard storms with his scythe instead of burrowing to the ground for surprise attacks.
- The Tank Muffins from Muffin Kombat 2 sub-chapter, they appear as durable, slow-moving vehicles that fires strong projectiles from its cannon. It's alt form Prism Tank Muffin targets the base from very long range instead of attacking enemies in front of them.
- Vikings are angelic counterparts of Titan Battler, they become enraged when one of their fellows went down in the battlefield. His alt form Norman has a different gimmick, he unleashes a thunderstorm on the same spot of the fellow Norman that went down.
- For Friendly Battlers:
- One-Hit Kill: Bucket Tagger's alt form Treasure Seller is known for this, but also giving the Player a cashback from the unit they "sold".
- Some enemies like Deleter/Expunger, Warhead and Sweetheart can instantly kill a peon with hyperlaser effect.
- Red Index, Blue Index: The main color schemes of friendly and enemy Battlers, respectively. This mostly just applies to Battlers that can be used by both sides, however, it also applies to the Red-traited enemies and every enemy in normal mode of The Battle Bricks: Classic.
- Red Sky, Take Warning: Certain levels of a chapter/subchapter in Tumore Mode features a red sky in the background, which signifies the post-apocalyptic nature of the world set after the events of Normal/Casual Mode's storyline:
- When you face against Crusher in Chapter 4 Stage 28 in Tumore Mode, the atmosphere turns to red and apocalyptic.
- As for Crimson Skies subchapter, the skies are already red in even in the Modes outside of Tumore Mode.
- Sequential Boss: Some bosses have phases, which makes the battle more intense in later phases:
- Doombringer starts off wielding a hammer and quite tanky in combat, then loses its hammer and becomes enraged after losing much health.
- His alt form Deathbringer has three phases instead of two, whereas the first phase had him attacking towers with his gauntlets, his second phase makes him attack faster. Finally, his third phase is the momentum where he unleashes all of his strength 'til he's finally beaten.
- Redbeard's alt form Bulldozer has two phases, he starts off attacking your towers with his minigun and throwing flashbangs at your peons. When losing much of his health, he throws his gun away and becomes enraged to the point of rushing into destroying your base at all costs.
- Turking has two phases where he starts off attacking towers with his fire sword and capable of summoning his mighty servants dubbed Telamon Superfans. His second phase unlocks his healing ability, while his third phase unlocks another where he can breathe fire at your peons at the cost of unable to summon his servants and eating up his fried chicken to heal up.
- His alt form Infernus is much more different than his normal form, his first phase lacks the ability to summon Telamon Superfans, but with more offensive-based ones such as throwing a fireball at the enemy. His second phase makes his sword gains a longer blade and gains the ability to summon the hellfire storm around himself. In his final phase, he becomes enraged and unleashes a red aura that can inflict damage on friendly battlers.
- EXEC has a variety of admin commands when attacking your peons, such as flinging, burning, and giving them various debuffs. Not only that, EXEC also provides some buffs on its allies such as cloaking them for a while. When losing much of it's health, it's body becomes corrupted and thus making it able to use commands quicker through lowered requirements from ten to four normal attacks.
- It's alt form XTREME has three phases in gameplay, and gains strong armor to protect itself from attacks. Unlike it's normal counterpart, it doesn't rely on using admin commands to attack your peons and/or supporting its allies. XTREME has more offensive abilities such as throwing grenades at your peons, firing its gatling gun, and firing laser beams from its eyes. During it's third phase, XTREME now attacks more faster than before.
- Doombringer starts off wielding a hammer and quite tanky in combat, then loses its hammer and becomes enraged after losing much health.
- Stage Magician: Chapter 3's second boss, Insecure, appears to be this. Having adorned a top hat, magician's attire, a comedy and tragedy facemask, as well as a magic wand that produces balls of hellfire.
- "The Hero Sucks" Song: "Blame the Flame", Rockstar Radical's theme in Tumore mode, is him calling out the player for causing mass destruction on Battle Brick's world, and warning that things will get worse if they want to face him and continue through Tumore mode.
- Temporary Online Content: Anniversary With Cheese is a limited-time subchapter that is released on the game's 2nd anniversary. It features 4 new bosses with bizarre powers, with the notable example being Cyborg Rocket Battle/Cyborg Crocket Battle. Completing levels in this subchapters doesn't grant you rewards, but at least you can unlock event-exclusive enemies to the sandbox if you manage to beat this on 3 stars (Normal and Tumore Modes).
- Took a Level in Badass: This trope applies to most if not all of the bosses you face when playing in Tumore mode. It is essentially the aftermath of beating a chapter in the game's lore, where every boss you've defeated in normal mode has been either horribly mangled or has been given a nice redemption.
- Paintmaster after defeat goes to buy high-tech illegal weaponry, being 2 Hyperlaser guns and a Railgun, becoming Terminator right after.
- Jetrock, after being defeated, has his jetpack malfunction, causing him to fly and plummet into the far side of the Rocket arena where he presumably sinks into the lava below. But he survives, with horrible burns all over his body covered by headgear and armor; now taking on the persona of Hellfighter.
- Doombringer seemingly survives his death, becoming an angry and enraged skeletal bruiser in Tumore mode as Deathbringer.
- Redbeard, the pirate boss of chapter 2 has decided to spend a fortune's worth of his gold on armor, a minigun, and some flashbangs to become Bulldozer.
- The 2nd boss of chapter 2, being self-proclaimed DJ Radical, who once produced HORRIBLE beats that made your ears bleed, finally listened to his criticism, having somewhat of a good change in his character, becoming Rockstar Radical. He now finally makes good music! Along with having his own personal attack helicopter.
- Turking finally snaps presumably after his defeat. Causing him to no longer be the fun chicken-eating sword-fighting giant he is, instead now being a giant warlord of death named Infernus. Now donning one of the famous Dominus hats and now neing able to summon meteors from the sky to crush unsuspecting battlers; and with a final phase where he becomes extremely angry to the point where he gains an aura of Hellfire around him, slowly killing those in its range.
- Doctor Bright, the first boss of chapter 3 is seen getting disintegrated by his backpack's light, becoming a black skeleton and crumbling to the ground à la Dry-bones. In Tumore Mode, he somehow resurrects from the ground, becoming an evil necromancer known as Mister Mancer with the ability to create exploding skulls and convert them into skeletal minions to fight you.
- Insecure the magician and 2nd boss of chapter 3 is seperated from his body, taking the form of a vengeful spirit named Melvin. While his old body rots away in the form of Blackmail, who no longer craves the crowds approval, and instead, for your demise.
- The final boss of chapter 3, Exec, now drives an incomplete mechsuit with the name of X-TREME. Equipped with an aoe raygun, dual miniguns equipped on its back, laser eyes, and a grenade launcher, as well as a link to the nuclear reactor core in the background that self destructs in a 5 minute timer once the mechsuit is destroyed.
- Chapter 4's first boss Monsalt turns into Monolith, a colossal chess mech that spawns Pawns. She's also capable of creating a fortress that spawns stronger mooks when losing a lot of health.
- Martyr, the second boss of Chapter 4 turns into Reinbo, who is armed with multi-color katanas in combat. She also gains an ability to fly around the battlefield, and spawns invincible souls when almost defeated.
- Cesus's final form Chronos is the final boss of Chapter 4. Starting off as a angelic cross, he eventually reveals himself as a giant satellite-like superbeing with dangerous powers. Not only that, he has a special ability in form of bringing math problems/riddles with clocks. If you answer the math problems incorrectly, you're ultimately doomed.
- Unexpected Gameplay Change: While fighting the Final Boss of the Tumore Mode of Chapter 4, occasionally, a screen will pop up and display an analog clock at the top and a series of choices at the bottom that are also analog clocks. Your main goal here is to choose the correct answer from among the choices within a time limit and choosing the wrong answer will cause the boss to rain down a barrage of attacks that can easily cripple your forces. On 1 Star, you simply have to choose the analog clock that matches with the one at the top, but by 2 Star, there are now two analog clocks at the top and you now have to choose the analog clock that results from adding the two (e.g. if the analog clocks display 1:30 and 7:30, then you should pick the analog clock that displays 9:00). If that wasn't enough, the 3 Star version has you do this math with three analog clocks.
- Villain Song: Deathbringer's theme, "Death's Abomination", is about his burning willpower to inflict vengeance against the ones who "killed" him (read: defeated him and burned his face away). All will pay
All will die
Death will come so soon
None will live
None shall thrive
No one will survive - Yellow Snow: This trope applies to a scrapped battler's alt form, most likely being able to throw snowballs with the latter doing the same thing, but, well y'know. This is also lampshaded in the description of the tumore mode enemy; Icegunner Battler's description.
