"I'd like to say I'm not a violent man — that trouble just has a way of finding me — but I'd be lying. Doesn't matter where I go. How far I run. Death's always waiting. Just not for me."

Marvel's Wolverine is the best there is at what it tropes. And what it tropes isn't very nice:
- Badass Biker: In the gameplay trailer, Wolverine is shown driving around on a motorcycle as he pursues his enemies and does some impressive stunts with it.
- Bloodier and Gorier: As seen in the gameplay trailer, this game makes the Spider-Man games look almost tame by comparison, with huge streams of blood and severed limbs as Wolverine cuts through enemies.
- Brought to You by the Letter "S": The gameplay trailer shows Omega Red has a Ω branded on his forehead.
- Darker and Edgier: As shown in the gameplay trailer. The Spider-Man games were no picnic, but they had hopeful protagonists and were rather light on blood, save for a specific scene in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. This one is Bloodier and Gorier, and stars a much more cynical Anti-Hero who doesn't hesitate to kill his enemies.
- Healing Factor: Wolverine’s healing factor is displayed in the gameplay trailer, as the cheek of his adamantium skeleton is exposed in one shot before the skin heals over it.
- Humongous Mecha: The gameplay trailer ends on a shot of Wolverine standing before a massive Sentinel as it powers up.
- I'm Not a Hero, I'm...: Logan says this almost verbatim near the end of the trailer."'Cuz I ain't no hero. I'm Wolverine."
- Sequel Goes Foreign: In a sense. Whereas the Spider-Man games are mostly restricted to New York, the gameplay trailer and the behind the scenes footage reveal this game goes beyond that, from the Canadian wilderness to the country of Madripoor and even in Japan.
