Juice Galaxy is an in-development Wide-Open Sandbox RPG game by Fishlicka, initially for free, though a price tag was added in late 2024. It stars an unnamed student who ditches class at Juice School to go on an adventure on the planet far below the planetoids. Formerly named Juice World, and not to be confused with Juice Wrld.
Juice Galaxy contains examples of:
- AcCENT upon the Wrong SylLABle: A product of the distorted text-to-speech dialogue of some characters.
- Aerosol Flamethrower: The FrizzX is a can of hairspray that shoots massive plumes of fire when used.
- Ambushing Enemy:
- Koalaths jump down from trees if the player cuts them down.
- Several enemies try to ambush you in the Evil Cabin, including but not limited to Klowns, Pollywogs as well as a single Stroll Fiend in the bathroom.
- Amphibian at Large: Frolgs, beach ball-shaped frogs that bounce off of most objects and violently deflate when killed.
- Asteroids Monster:
- Klowns explode into a small amount of Baby Klowns when killed. The Grand Klown, in particular, explodes into several normal Klowns upon defeat.
- Hydrangelas fed enough juice to grow significantly larger in size spawn several smaller Hydrangelas upon death.
- Badass Boast: The Creator constantly spouts one ad infinitem while fighting him. He even continues to say it even if he's dead. The Creator: Well, well, well. Look what the cat dragged in. You finally found me. Congratulations. Time to die. You're trespassing on this plane and now I am going to. Mess. You. Up. I have unlimited power. You can't face me. Come back in ten thousand years. I bet you'll taste terrible. Hello. Good to see you again.
- Batter Up!: A baseball bat is one of the many weapons that the player can use, and has a particularly high knockback stat.
- Beast with a Human Face: Mrs. Slitherss has the face of an ugly old crone.
- Bee Afraid: Wawsps are flying enemies that come from underground hives. Their queen is also intent on eating the Student alive.
- BFS: The Draginslayer wielded by Mrs. Slitherss during her fight, which you can pick up and use for yourself. A particularly massive one is lodged inside of the dinosaur-like Fog Giant.
- Big Bad: If Mrs Slitherss' test is any indication, it's either the so-far unseen Juice Queen, or it could be that demon the Student just unleashed, Swirly D.
- Chain Lightning: Any weapon that can deal Arc Damage can create lightning that bounces off of multiple enemies.
- Character Customization: When you start your playthrough, you get the option to tweak the proportions of the Student and the colors of their skin. You can even upload images to wrap around your Student, more or less.
- Cursed with Awesome: After quaffing some good juice, a Bat Out of Hell will suck you dry of juice and then tell you that you're a vampire now. This isn't a bad thing, since you can now drink enemies dry of their juice to heal yourself and gain more juice.
- Dem Bones: The Skelly enemies, which make sounds similar to bowling pins when interacted with and can appear inside of the Graveyard.
- Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?:
- You can defeat multiple Eldritch Abominations, such as the Dream Eater, The Creator, and even just plain bizarre monsters, like The Clog.
- A non-lethal example. Blacksmith Hoagen is implied to have been one of the only characters who wasn't given a swirly by Swirly D, and instead gave him an atomic wedgie to fend him off.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Mrs. Slitherss response to the student getting a single question wrong. She kills them. That's it."Wrong answer. Prepare to die"
- Eating the Enemy: Vampiric players can consume enemy corpses for extra Juice. With the same slurping noises as Batty from his appearance.
- Edible Bludgeon: A frozen pizza is one of the many weapons you can use, and is just as effective at defeating monsters as something like a morning star. One can be found inside the mouth of one of the Fog Giants.
- Eldritch Abomination: Just about a lot of things, ranging from sentient cars, to the player itself (who is able to slurp up a snake multiple times its size), and eventually a Dream Eater.
- Eldritch Location: The entire world can be considered one, but standout locations include the Palpitating Palace, The Creator's Plane, and the Toilet Realm.
- Elite Mooks: Elite monsters can rarely appear in the wilderness, and are usually bigger and higher-leveled compared to other monsters. They are easily recognized due to their unique name and different color palette compared to their base versions.
- Epic Flail: A flail (called a "Ball n Chain") is one of the many weapons you can pick up and use against enemies.
- Evil Teacher: Mrs. Slitherss' first words at the start of the game are to call the Student "floppy and gross" before giving a pop quiz with no preparation. The punishment for getting a single answer incorrect is death by Mrs. Slitherss' rainbow laser vision.
- Extremity Extremist: Toeny, as fitting of his name, uses his oversized feet to attack you. His strongest attack even bloats his already large feet to comically massive sizes to slam on you.
- Flaming Sword: The flamberge, notable for being the first weapon added that can deal fire damage.
- Flight: A natural ability of the Student, Wawsps, and Mrs. Slitherss. And for some reason, Lord Snuggles, a Giant Spider, as well as Koalaths at high levels.
- Gang Up on the Human: Downplayed. Most monsters will home in and attack you if they see you... with the exception of the Fleach, which instead attacks both the player and nearby monsters, draining them of their juice.
- Game Over: Upon losing your HP, the student will ragdoll in the direction they are struck as the screen becomes more bleached with bright colors, and the words "YOU SUCK" slowly appear onscreen before you reappear at your last-touched Juice Fountain.
- "Get Back Here!" Boss: The Clog can become this if you get too close to him during his fight.
- Giant Spider: Spoidahs (before they got removed) and Cuddlebugs. Elite Cuddlebugs at high levels are particularly enormous and can seriously damage players with their many flailing legs.
- Handicapped Badass: Sgt. Suckerpunch had all his limbs punched off during his many fights with The Clog, and had to replace them with plungers to keep up.
- Have a Nice Death: Two words: You Suck.
- Hoax Hogan: Blacksmith Hoagen.
- Holy Burns Evil: After becoming a vampire, picking up the Holy Hammer's tooltip implies this. It gains no statistic drawbacks, thankfully.Tooltip: It kind of burns my skin.
- Hub Level: The Graveyard, populated by harmless NPCs and low-level monsters.
- I Don't Like the Sound of That Place: The Evil Cabin, which contains most of the game's bosses as well as having a large underground dungeon in its basement. Despite this, Mr. Fox decides to move into the cabin if you defeat Mrs. Slitherss.
- Improbable Weapon User: Sure, you've got your swords and clubs, but you've also got a toilet plunger, a pineapple that shoots smaller, explosive pineapples, and a frozen pizza.
- Kill the God: The first boss you fight is likely to be The Creator underneath the Evil Cabin. There is little consequence following the death and even consumption of what is likely the God of this world.
- Large Ham: The Clog establishes himself as this by introducing himself by name, stating how immovable he is, and then his intention to beat the life out of the Student.
- Lean and Mean: Stroll Fiends are the tallest, lankiest common monster you will encounter. Their size makes them worth slurping up for vampiric players.
- Logical Weakness: The Clog fought in the Toilet Realm is naturally weak to attacks from the plunger Sgt. Suckerpunch gives you.
- Made of Explodium: Pineapples apparently, if the pineapple gun is any indication.
- Metal Slime: Hydrangelas, large flower-like entities that can be rarely found in the Wilderness and can be fed Juice to grow them. And then you can cruelly attack them to gain even more juice from them.
- Magic Wand: The Wand of Kinesis allows you to move objects and enemies at a distance. It doesn't have many combat applications, though.
- Mix-and-Match Critters: The "koaladog", a creature inside of the Evil Cabin's attic, fittingly has the head of a koala on a dog's body.
- Monster Clown: Klowns, a common enemy type in the sewers beneath the cabin and can split into multiple Baby Klowns upon defeat.
- Never Smile at a Crocodile: Gators are an uncommon type of enemy that can charge at the player with their snapping jaws.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero!: In helping Sgt. Suckerpunch defeat The Clog, you unleash a demon lord onto the world who then proceeds to swirly everyone in sight. Except for Blacksmith Hoagen who legit just gave the demon an atomic wedgie.
- Notice This: You can easily track down Hydrangelas by listening to their singing.
- Off with Her Head!: Killing the Wawsp Queen causes her still-conscious head to fall off, which can be worn as a hat and constantly berates near-everything you do.
- Our Dragons Are Different: Dragins look more like llamas or goats with their quadrupedal frames, long necks, and lack of wings.
- Our Trolls Are Different: Stroll Fiends are tall, thin, mostly purple, and hell-bent on slaying the player.
- Our Vampires Are Different: The Student will likely become a vampire after Batty comes and slurps up all the unspent juice in their possession. Being a vampire in Juice Galaxy means that you can slurp up dead enemies for extra juice, with none of the weaknesses normally attributed to vampirism.
- Optional Boss: Unlike the other bosses in the game, Toeny is completely optional for progression since he's a Random Encounter that shows up rarely when exploring the Wilderness and doesn't unlock anything if you beat him.
- Painful Rhyme: Most of Toeny's voice lines are in this manner.Toeny: "Like a form of osmosis, I steal all your juice with my toe-ses."
- Personal Space Invader: Fleaches will latch on both player and monster alike and slowly drain them of their juice.
- Planet of Hats: Bubbletropolis, a dimension where everyone and everything is a sentient bubble.
- Power-Up Mount: Signy's Sweet Ride (which can even be used to run over enemies) and the previously mentioned Spoidah.
- Ragdoll Physics: Almost every entity in the game has this.
- Respawn Point: Juice Fountains litter the galaxy, serving as respawn points and opportunities to spend juice and level up abilities.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here!: While Mrs. Slitherss gives you a pop quiz and will kill you for getting the answers wrong, she does nothing to stop you from just walking away.
- Sculpted Physique: Your classmate Ingot is more similar to an unworked lump of iron ore than a refined ingot.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Swirly D was sealed away by the Clog until the Student unclogs him.
- Shock and Awe: You have the ability to create lightning if you attack with the Arc spell or any weapon with an Arc Damage stat, such as the Arc Fork or any weapon enhanced by Arcing Juice, while Swirly D has his Swirly Lightning.
- Shout-Out:
- The description for the Draginslayer says that it "takes [[Manga/Berserk a lotta Guts]] to carry this one".
- One of Lil Mr. Fox's notes in the Dream Realm briefly mentions Animal Farm, referring to it as "old booring stories about dumb farm animals and their stoopid politiks".
- Spell Book: You can find Grimoires that allow you to summon Pet Rocks, launch meteors, and even summon a black hole.
- Summon Magic:
- The "Pet Rock" grimoire summons sentient rocks that folloy you and attack enemies by bumping into them.
- The Creator does this as part of his boss fight, firing several Pollywogs at the player, and then sucking them up into a tornado to launch all of them at once at you if he has enough Pollywogs.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: "Is the sky made of plywood? Definitely not." If you fly high enough, you find out that it is in fact made of plywood.
- Swirlie: When Swirly D rises once more, his first order of business is to swirly some nerds.
- Synthetic Voice Actor: Mrs. Slitherss is voiced by a text-to-speech program.
- Unique Enemy: A single Grand Klown spawns near the Evil Cabin or in the tunnel leading to Heck, and splits into regular Klowns upon its defeat.
- Unrealistic Black Hole: The Gravity Sphere spell is described as a "hyper-dense ball of juice" that pulls monsters towards it.
- Video Game Cruelty Potential: The two NPCs hanging out in the graveyard (Ingot and Mr. Fox) can be attacked and killed. They'll even call you out on it!
- Video Game Cruelty Punishment: Pop the bubbles that the Bubblians are blowing in Bubbletropolis, and they'll slowly become more and more offended until all of them start to attack you.
- Villain Forgot to Level Grind: If you go back to confront Mrs. Slitherss, she attempts to shoot you with her instant kill eye lasers again for defying her. Aside from it tossing you backwards, it does considerably less damage now that you've been drinking juice.Mrs. Slitherss: Oh. That usually works.
- Warm-Up Boss: Ingot. He teaches you about combat and his only attack is to slowly walk into you.
- Wicked Wasps: Wawsps, which hunt other enemies and take them to their nests to feed the Wawsp Queen.
- The Worf Effect: Comes into play with Swirly D is introduced, he almost kills the player with his Swirly Lightning, who at this point can shrug off Mrs. Slitherss' eye beams and potentially curb-stomp most enemies in the game. He then goes off to swirly several characters, including a Fog Giant. It's implied that Swirly D was on the receiving end of this at the hands of Blacksmith Hoagen, who gave him an atomic wedgie. Considering that Hoagen speaks far more assuredly of his victory than even the Fog Giant does, he might be speaking the truth.
