Weekday Afternoon Cartoon (trope)
As the name implies, a weekday afternoon cartoon (also called a weekday cartoon) is an animated series that airs in the afternoon (either from 2 to 4 pm or 3 to 5 pm) during the week. Similar to the Saturday-Morning Cartoon, a weekday afternoon cartoon is primarily aimed at children. Also like Saturday morning cartoons, they may be a 65-Episode Cartoon.

Compare to the Saturday-Morning Cartoon mentioned above, with which it may overlap if a particular series aired new episodes on both Saturday mornings and weekday afternoons (which was the case for many animated series on both Fox Kids and Kids' WB!), and contrast to Prime Time Cartoon.
