Tropes in this index include:
- Bitch Slap: A slap across the face to show your dominance over someone else.
- Cane Fu: Attacking someone by hitting them with a cane.
- Comedic Spanking: Hitting someone for a humorous reason.
- Corporal Punishment: Hitting someone as a form of punishment.
- Don't Make Me Take My Belt Off!: Someone (usually a child) is spanked with a belt (usually by their father).
- Dope Slap: Smack to the back of the head after the person does or says something stupid.
- Flirtatious Smack on the Ass: Playfully slapping another person's rear end, presumably as a sign of affection.
- Food Fight: Several people throwing food at one another.
- Food Slap: Throwing food or a drink at someone's face in anger.
- Get a Hold of Yourself, Man!: A slap across the face to bring someone back to their senses.
- Glove Slap: Slapping someone in the face with a glove.
- Halted Slap: A character is about to slap another one in a fit of rage, but is stopped from going through with it.
- Hit Me, Dammit!: Begging someone to physically harm you.
- Indignant Slap: Someone slaps someone out of a sense of personal or moral indignation.
- Kinky Spanking: Spanking someone as a sexual act.
- Kiss-Kiss-Slap: Slapping someone after showing them affection.
- Money Slap: Throwing money at someone as a sign of rejection.
- Not in the Face!: Specifically asking not to be slapped in the face.
- One Free Hit: Letting your opponent get the first shot in.
- Paper Fan of Doom: Convenient when you need to beat the heat, or other people.
- Parasol of Pain: Hitting someone with an umbrella.
- Pie in the Face: Someone throws a pie at someone else's face.
- Shamu Fu: Slapping someone with a fish or another aquatic animal.
- Shoe Slap: Throwing a shoe at someone.
- "Silly Me" Gesture: Tapping yourself on the head in embarrassment for doing something foolish or after having a revelation.
- Slap-Slap-Kiss: Showing someone affection after slapping them.
- Slapstick: A form of comedy that often includes people slapping each other.
- Slap Yourself Awake: Slapping yourself in order to stay awake or alert.
- Smack on the Back: A backslap that hurts.
- Spank of Life: Spanking a newborn baby to stimulate its breathing.
- Stop Hitting Yourself: Forcing someone to hit themselves as a means of bullying.
- Tail Slap: Slapping someone with your tail.
- Why Did You Make Me Hit You?: Hitting someone to end an argument, then making them believe they're responsible for making you resort to hitting them.
- Wimp Fight: A fight that involves mostly weak slaps.
- Wouldn't Hit a Girl: A male character refrains from using physical violence on a female.
- You Wouldn't Hit a Guy with Glasses: If you wear glasses and say this phrase, chances are you'll get hit.
- Zen Slap: A mentor hits their pupil in order to get them to focus or have a revelation.
