Fridge Logic for Danny Phantom: Stranded.

Fridge Brilliance

  • In "Boxed", it is revealed that Johnathan's favorite color is green, which is also the color of the jacket that Stella gifts him. It should be noted that Stella's signature outfit consists of a green dress and it's heavily implied in the later stories that she is once again falling for Johnathan (or she never stopped having feelings for him and is just having trouble ignoring them now). Could it be that Stella's choice to wear mostly green is her subconsciously still trying to attract his attention?
    • "Blackmailed" reveals Stella's favorite color is purple, giving this more weight; she's always wearing Johnathan's favorite color but never hers.
  • It makes sense that Star would completely despise Donovan Loadman even as an A-Lister Beta Bitch. Who else do we know that's an elitist Dirty Coward Entitled Bastard from Old Money who hits on women that are already taken? Jean-Luc Bevier. Of course Star wouldn't want anything to do with someone who reminds her too much of her hated stepfather.
  • Danny isn't wrong to consider Colette a far worse enemy than any of his ghostly adversaries, including Vlad Plasmius and Dark Phantom. Danny witnessed in a possible future that Vlad is capable of genuine compassion and guilt due to his role in accidentally creating Dark Phantom (in a misguided attempt to heal his Danny Fenton from the pain of losing his loved ones), to the point of making a Heel–Face Turn. Dark Phantom was created from the combined negative emotions of Danny and Vlad's ghost-halves, so he was more or less Made of Evil. Colette, meanwhile, has never shown ANYTHING resembling a redeeming quality, has no real Freudian Excuse for her awful behavior (she even admits that she only tormented Star For the Evulz), and is completely unapologetic when called out on her despicable actions to the point she actually takes pride in being such a horrible person. Simply put, Dark Phantom was born a monster, while Colette chose to be one.
  • It’s actually no surprise that Sam’s parents would reject Donovan Loadman’s proposal of an Arranged Marriage between himself and their daughter Sam in “Golden”. Besides being disgusted with his harassment of Star in “Visited”, remember that the Mansons, unlike Jean-Luc or Beatrice, Marry for Love.
  • Team Phantom actually has a pragmatic reason to let Colette keep her knowledge of Danny’s Secret Identity. Not only is she not really a threat anymore since being sent to Bludworth, but nobody believes Colette in the slightest after her true nature as an unhinged, deceitful, Danny-obsessed Yandere was revealed to the world. So if anyone else tries to expose Danny as the ghost boy, they’ll just be dismissed as another delusional liar, and their word won’t be trusted anymore than the evil fake redhead's without sufficient proof. Thus, Danny’s secret will be better protected from now on.
  • It's possible Star became attached to Danny because she saw him as a Replacement Goldfish for her cousin Chris, since they're both Nice Guys with Undying Loyalty towards their loved ones and hate the A-Listers.
  • Why was Danny willing to trust Glaciar despite just meeting him? All the Far Frozen ghosts he's met so far are Always Lawful Good, so he hardly had a reason to suspect Glaciar of being a bad guy.
  • In "Blackmailed", while Colette no doubt targeted Valerie in her scheme to frame Danny's friends out of petty jealousy for their dating history, she also has a pragmatic reason for doing so: aside from Team Phantom, Valerie is Star's Only Friend and aware of Colette's rotten nature, so she would likely suspect Colette of being responsible for the Frame-Up and try to stop or expose her. Basically, Colette had to get rid of her as a loose end.
  • Why is Richard willing to give Beatrice a chance but deems the Beviers Beyond Redemption despite her being no better? Because for all Beatrice's faults, she never cheated on him. On the other hand, Jean-Luc is a pompous womanizer with no devotion to Stella since he stole her from her first husband Johnathan and flirts with any attractive woman he meets, while Colette steals other girls' boyfriends, especially Star's, out of petty amusement, which a man like Richard, who believes in the sanctity of marriage, would find unacceptable.
  • Considering Danny's experiences with Penelope Spectra, a fake redheaded Manipulative Bitch with an incredibly sadistic and vain personality who hurts others for her own gain, it's no mystery why he'd instantly clock on to those same traits in Colette and hate her.
  • It makes sense that Star's family would consider her a Superior Successor to Stella because she succeeded where her mother failed twice:
    • It took Stella decades to stand up to her elitist, smothering mother Beatrice, but Star did that as a teenager and even stood up to Stella for her own sake and that of her loved ones.
    • While Stella was easily deceived by Jean-Luc's fake charms and wasted years being married to him, Star immediately saw Donovan Loadman for the shallow, misogynistic Spoiled Brat he is and didn't waste any time telling him to get lost, especially since he's now trying to steal her from Danny.
  • Another reason Kwan was so desperate to help save Danny from Colette in "Blackmailed" is likely because he feels guilty for believing Colette's lie in "Cursed" that Danny was cheating on Star with her, and wanted to make amends for once again letting himself be manipulated by Colette into hurting Star and those she cares about.
  • Why does Colette prefer the middle-class Nice Guy Danny Fenton over the Blue Blood Spoiled Brat Donovan Loadman, who's essentially a male version of her? Simple; it's BECAUSE of their many similarities that she doesn't want anything to do with him. After all, Colette is a major Control Freak who's expressed interest in molding Danny into her ideal boyfriend who only obeys her due to finding him "weak and malleable", whereas Donovan is too much of a sexist narcissist to change or let Colette boss him around, plus he'd leave her in a heartbeat for a richer and/or prettier girl that caught his fancy.

Fridge Heartwarming

  • Why would Danny give Star a second chance, aside from being a Nice Guy who's grown into an All-Loving Hero? Because she's not the first A-Lister mean girl that he befriended after learning her Hidden Depths and seeing she’s not all bad. Star likely reminded Danny of her best friend and his ex-girlfriend, Valerie.
  • Why is Danny the only one of Star's boyfriends who never gave in to Colette's advances and always saw her stepsister for the sociopath she is? In addition to being completely different from the other boys she dated (which is repeatedly lampshaded), he's also the first person Star truly loved, and True Love is Exceptional.
