A downloadable game
STORY:
Packet and his brothers Lackey and Lackey 2 live on Turtle Island.
One day Lackey went on a scavenger hunt and did not return.
Packet found a trail of yogurt-covered raisins, Lackey's favorite treat, leading to a haunted house.
To rescue his brother, Packet must first... FIND THE RAISINS!

Start: Begin/Pause game
A: Enter Level from Map
This game was created in 2025 for the Byte-Off 5 game jam. Work has continued on this project for a full release. The ROM file here allows players to play the first three levels of each game mode: story, arcade and combo.
The game will be made available via crowdfunding in April 2026.
This is a FREE DEMO version with limited content submitted to the annual Byte Off NES development competition. Plays on NES emulators and on original hardware using flashcarts.

The music and visuals are awesome, but the powerups are almost useless because they seem to only last for a second or less.
Thank you! I will look at power up timing as I continue to develop this game.
