i dont even know what to say 🥹 this is such a gem of a game. i need more of these characters!!! the writing is so good and the story is so interesting and unique
Holy Moly I don't know where to begin. This was beyond amazing. I loved the writing sm. i felt so much suspense and anxiety. i also think mcs way of thinking is relatable. The art style is beautifulll and eerie.
I've only spent time with Lane and I love him (unpopular opinion it seems). I lovedd learning more about hm. He definitely isn't who he makes himself out to be. He seems complex. Also i loved the flirting, i was cheesing for most of the second shift XD. I do understand the hate of course. He is flawed but that makes him yummy !
What can I say? This game is so *so* good! I am still exploring everything but I love this game so much! The two love interests are hot I can't even pick between the two of them. I look forward to more shifts! Thanks for creating this game spar0w!
exquisite meal chef, enjoyed this one a lot 🔥 now personally im a guy but this vn just looked too much of a banger not to play. and im glad i did, it was a joy to play x3 i especially liked your narrative and character writing. now, i hate that fcker lane; what an annoying asshole i hope he dies a slow, agonizing death. but the way you wrote him was very well done ! :D (hate the character, recognize the well-done characterization and all that lol)
think you did an especially great job at writing his casual sexism and toxic male bravado. i've played a lot of vns but not one where the LIs are this 'flawed' and, in a way, realistic. so it was a breath of fresh air. (and! the worldbuilding. god the horrors of working a nightshift at a convenience store as a woman go crazy. someone please give her a gun). it is, again, a breath of fresh air to see a world this flawed and realistic be depicted in vns
the protagonist as well! i always find myself with the problem that some vns tend to write the mc,,, too 'feminine' or emotionally weak, so it's nice to see a protagonist who talks back and doesn't let herself be so blatantly disrespected for a change (you bet ur ass i used every option to slap lane when i could) (more options to beat the sht out of him please)
very intrigued to see what went down between amelia and the mc and who that red helmet belonged to (i already have some theories). overall, enjoyed the atmosphere of the game a lot <3 the art, narrative and characterization... very looking forward to see what chef decides to cook up next 🔥
i wish you the best of luck with this project and hope it turns out how you envisioned it! x3
(also biker boyyyy my babygirllll god he's so cute)
just heard about this from a tiktok video and i'm definetely not disappointed! BB is absolutely a babe and i love him so much such a german shepherd energy <3 this dude is in my "to be obsessed over" list now. i want him so bad :(
replayed again and am i crazy for thinking bb and lane know each other?
NOW HEAR ME OUT like i could just be grasping at straws but was trying out different routes and i remember that if u take the bus home instead of going with bb, amelia stops you and asks if you still call lane by his name, implying he goes by a nickname. but if you let bb drop you off and give your phone number, he tries out texting acronyms and comes up with "wz."
and earlier when you're cleaning the bathroom, the toilet bowl says "w and z were here" and it has the same face as the one on bb's skull tattoos on his hands and helmet. and when you click on it mc kinda gets a faint memory of a voice saying "if you ever get tired of these losers around here, i'll take you to the moon. i swear." seeing as the text was red we can assume it's bb, since he's the only character who's text turns red in certain dialogues.
now back to when you're at the bus stop waiting for the bus. when bb approaches you, depending on what route you're going, you start talking about the sky and how empty it is. you say it's stupid but bb immediately understands and you reveal that you love the moon. so to put those two together, it's safe to say that whoever is under the helmet had a close enough relationship with mc to know she likes the moon.
it's also been exactly one month since mc started working at the mad dog convenience store. (october 17 2009 - november 17 2009) bb's last message thread is a month old. [ the message thread is not completely related to my theory just something i thought i should point out. ]
i'm going to assume that within this time frame, "the incident" happened that not only ruined our friendship with amelia but caused some memory loss. which would explain why mc gets these moments of familiarity but can't place it, like in the bathroom or when they wear the red helmet. i put it within this time frame because mc started their job on october 17th yet when they talk to amelia in the cafe they seem to still be on good terms and they talk about their job but it's november 16/17th when we see their current standing.
which brings me back to the "wz" text.
w and z could possibly be lane and bb. HEAR ME OUT. i only say this because we don't know bb's name or the nickname lane goes by. but if this is true and mc, bb, and lane were somehow friends and then "the incident" happened it could be that it was bad enough to split up their group. bad enough that amelia would hold a grudge for what happened between us and her brother.
which also explains why bb wears his helmet because if he was worried about mc recognizing him he could just wear a face mask since her faulty memory wouldn't help her put the pieces together to recognize him. the helmet not only covers his face but muffles his voice.
but if it's not lane, w and z would have to be bb and mc or at least connected to them, and to see it in the bathroom means they would have to hang out at this store often enough to feel the need to tag it. so lane either knows him personally or at the very least know of him before whatever went down.
[ is it obvious how badly i need shift 3 to come out ]
yeah that's what tripping me up because they both talk about their siblings like we know them, but if i think abt it it could be possible that their siblings are entirely different people, because im now remembering that lane said it looked like we were ignoring his sister and she got mad, so i was thinking it was amelia but then again if we're on bad terms im not sure why she would be mad we ignored her.
gosh i didnt even realized the w and z graffiti, but now that im thinking, if lane, mc and bb were hanging out together, wouldnt lane recognize bb even tho he wears a helmet?...i need shift 3 too T-T
honestly i also didn't notice until multiple playthroughs and it was by accident. when i first played i didnt even know you can go into one of the stalls. also i was thinking that maybe lane is probably more used to seeing his face and maybe knows bb uses the red helmet. so when bb shows up as he does, lane probably gets so aggressive because he's reminded of bb. idk, the theory is definetly a work in progress tho.
dropping my first comment ever bc of how shockingly good this vn was !!! the story is super engaging, and i can't wait for more updates ^^ i was pleasantly surprised by how much i ended up loving all of the characters, especially mc and bb so much !! i highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in playing
(Please forgive me for not being a native English speaker. This text was translated with the help of AI. )
I am a player from China, currently majoring in literature, and I occasionally participate in proofreading work. Recently, I completed your game Big_bad_dogs. After finishing it, I spent a long time in shock and reflection, and I felt compelled to write the following.
---
Part I: As a Player — Immersion, Suffocation, and the Urge to Resist
First, please allow me to express my most direct feeling: your game possesses a rare and deeply unsettling sense of “reality” that is uncommon in visual novels. It successfully dragged me into a precise and suffocating emotional structure.
When Lane and BB argue in the convenience store over the “ownership” of the female protagonist, while her inner monologue is simply, “I just want to work, and then survive,” what I felt was not romance, but anger and helplessness—an overwhelming sense that her very living space was being violently invaded.
That feeling was so intense that, in that moment, a subversive fantasy burst into my mind: if I were her, I would calmly take a knife from the shelf, place it in front of the two men, and let them kill each other—and then kill me as well. After all, without my job, I would still have various loans to repay. And random violence lurks around me, ready to swallow me at any moment… well.
This “what if” came from my most instinctive impulse to deconstruct the power structure you created. I believe this may be exactly the kind of critical thinking you intended to provoke in players: when the script of “romantic rivalry” is torn apart, what is exposed beneath it is almost primitive violence and objectification.
One of the game’s bad endings—the unavoidable random stalking violence, followed by the disappearance of BB/Lane, and the protagonist’s slow self-destruction in the absence of any social support—plunged me into a prolonged emotional low. Its impact is so devastating precisely because it reflects, with brutal realism, the systemic survival dilemmas many women may face. Your narrative does not offer comfort; it forces every player to stare directly into the abyss.
This is also the reason I admire your work so deeply. You portray the characters and the situation with remarkable honesty. (Even though the story is not yet fully updated, I am truly, deeply looking forward to what comes next.)
---
### Part II: As a Researcher — An Analysis of the “Three-Layer Structure of Oppression”
When I stepped back from my emotional response and examined the game analytically, I discovered an astonishingly well-constructed model of systemic oppression. I understand it as a “three-layer encirclement structure”:
1. **The Survival Layer (Lane / the convenience store)**
This represents the most immediate form of economic and everyday power deprivation. Workplace injustice and underdeveloped labor protections force women to accept unequal rules simply to “stay alive,” fundamentally weakening their autonomy.
2. **The Control Layer (BB)**
This represents more concealed psychological oppression. Stalking, surveillance, and objectification carried out in the name of “deep affection” strip away a woman’s sense of safety and psychological privacy, imprisoning her in the position of a constantly observed object.
3. **The Random Violence Layer (the stranger)**
When the first two systems fail—economic injustice, the collapse of social oversight, and cultural tolerance of abuse—this final risk descends at random. It symbolizes society’s total absence of protection for women and the complete deprivation of bodily autonomy.
These three layers do not exist independently; they are nested within one another, together forming a suffocating apparatus of survival. As a creator, you present this structure to players without concealment or softening. In a cultural environment where popular media often prefers to offer “emotional painkillers,” this kind of courage is exceptionally precious.
---
### Part III: As a Cultural Observer — Pain, Anesthesia, and Historical Echoes
Your work also led me to think about a broader cultural landscape. As a literature student, I have read the works of French writer Annie Ernaux (whose writing is truly remarkable, capturing generational complexity with piercing honesty). In your game, I sensed a similar approach: placing individual suffering within a larger social and historical framework.
Although the game is set in 2009, the dilemmas it reflects—gendered power imbalances and the systemic lack of safety for women—remain painfully common in the world of 2026.
I also noticed a particularly interesting phenomenon: many players describe their emotional projection onto Lane and BB as “love.” This reminded me of a personal experience having my wisdom teeth removed. During the procedure, the dentist gave me four injections of anesthesia. When the anesthesia wore off, I was in unbearable pain and desperately wanted more injections. (In China, if I had actually asked for that, the dentist would probably have thought I was joking and handed me an ice pack instead.)
Your work is like a powerful medicine, yet some readers misinterpret it as an anesthetic. This may reveal how, in a world still saturated with distorted relationship narratives, people sometimes confuse *“pain”* (being intensely desired, fought over) with *“healing”* (being equally respected and fully seen). You expose this addictive “pain–anesthesia” cycle, which in itself is profoundly insightful.
---
Part IV: Sincere Gratitude and Personal Gain
Finally, please allow me to express my heartfelt thanks. Thank you for creating such an uncompromising and thought-provoking work. Although, as an ordinary player, my “mental health points” were severely tested during the experience (please forgive this small joke), that is precisely what proves the strength of your creation.
you have to clean the bathroom and then walk out to the alley and go to the employee back door. when you go back inside the store, an old man shows up and when you're done talking to him, it unlocks another feature in aisle 3 and will ask you to continue the story
UGH this game has me in a clutch hold, and it really does feel like a horror. Theres so much subtle changes with different branches of the game. Lane gets on my nerves so much, like I really do wanna like him, but physically I can't though.
Seriously the ambiance of the game is befitting, very dark, and grimy textures really makes it feel like it used to have life yk, but now it kinda lost that.
de manera sencilla, descargas desde la pagina oficial osea esta la app en android, sera la del monito verde, o sencillamente la que termine en .apk, y esperas a que se descargue . al terminar solo le das click al archivo y le das a instalar, listo
download joiplay from patreon and the renpy, if you don’t know what you’re doing (like me lol) i suggest you to download all of the renpy they provide. then download the pc.zip of the game then extract it using winrar (download it from playstore first if you didn’t have it). then you go to joiplay, click the upper right corner and add game. then you go to the files you just extract and click the .exe, follow the instruction from the app then you can play it. Enjoy! Feel fre to ask if you’re still confused
BB makes me so scaroused; seriously, I cannot remember the last time a yandere character spooked me, I was so pleasantly surprised. Lane is like the same breed of guy who's only contribution to a paired school assignment is putting his name at the top. I have a weakness for perverted guys in fiction though, those damned emojis won me over. I loved every second of this, I look forward to more. I need both of these men carnally.

Who is Amelia's brother?
i'm like 80% sure it's lane either that or that was just another theory i unconciously made while playing

(spoiler for bad ending)
Guys I have a question for the bad ending, does the weirdo SA us? Because I'm confused on what happened and what drove mc to off themselves
I am pretty sure he did and I am pretty sure it is what drove the MC to do that because of the trauma they went through that night.
wait hold upppp how did you get this ending ?! ive been trying different routes, but missed that one :( !

Fuck Lane Fuck BB I wanna fuck them both at once.
EXACTLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY OMFFF
soso real and the helmet can stay on
Lane is such an asshole I wanna kiss him
idk what it is about him but I genuinely need lane so bad I'm like a deer in rut hes getting bred

OMGGG tu aimes Feldup ? Bon qui n'aime pas Feldup en même temps. Hâte de tester le jeu en tout cas ♥
so confused in the store i went through all the isles and cleaned but idk what im missing the store isnt progressing at all
you have to clean the bathroom and then walk out to the alley and go to the employee back door. when you go back inside the store, an old man shows up and when you're done talking to him, it unlocks another feature in aisle 3 and will ask you to continue the story
thank you !!!!!!!!!!
Peak,peak peak!!!
Lane and BB is just RAHHH
I saw a comment that you can play on Android. Question: How? Please, if anyone knows, write

I need both of these men carnally.Biker Boy more like love of my life omg I need that cookie bad
