Sarcaster

Welcome to my portfolio! My name is Teemu Ranta and I'm a junior game designer and producer from Finland! I'm really interested working on game mechanics, producing,  and helping  my team to achieve what the game needs! Here are some of the games I've worked on!

Hero Siege

• Roles: Quality assurance, community manager, game designer 
• Team size: 3-5 
• Time frame: 4 years 
• Software: GameMaker, GameMaker 2, Discord, Excel, Word 
• Additional information: I started off as a QA while studying radio journalism. After one year, I worked on the game full-time. Gradually I was given more responsibilities, and I took care of Discord with +10,000 members and Steam forums. I also re-designed over 30 bosses to the game and did some balance changes based on character performance. 

Hailey Seitan

• Roles: Scrum master, game designer, audio designer 
• Team size: 8 
• Time frame: 4 months 
• Software: Unreal Engine 5, Jira, Discord, Excel, Word, Audacity 
• Additional information: This was the first project where I only focused on production duties. One of the new experiences was to work with outsourced musician, who created three songs and 25 sound effects for our game. 

Pogo Blast

• Roles: Scrum master, game designer, audio designer
• Team size: 8
• Time frame: 3 months 
  
• Software: Unreal Engine 5, Jira, Discord, Excel, Word, Audacity
• Additional information: First multiplayer and Unreal Engine 5 project. Vegetables are bouncing on pogo sticks which also works as a bazooka. We managed to hit the “easy to understand, hard to master” game design concept. I also voiced, recorded and mixed audio to the game.
