A 2D strategy game played on a procedurally generated hex grid.

Navigate a hostile region of space, manage shields and resources, defeat enemy ships, and dismantle a hidden command structure before it dismantles you.

Every click is a risk assessment. Every move is a commitment.

Status

Actively in development. Core gameplay is complete. Additional features such as difficulty modes, statistics tracking, and campaigns are planned.

How to Play

Objective

Clear the sector by taking out weaker enemies and use the salvaged parts to build up your ship to take down larger enemies.

Basic Controls

  • Click a hex to move and reveal it
  • Right-click to place damage markers
  • Click 'Rebuild Shields' to recharge and increase when you have enough parts
  • Click the 'Shield Surge' icon to instantly restore shields

Tactical Combat

  • Each enemy has a fixed damage value
  • Shields are reduced by enemy damage
  • If enemy damage exceeds your shields, you are destroyed
  • Stronger enemies provide more parts and special effects

Resource Management

  • Shields start at 5 and can be upgraded up to 12
  • Progressive shield recharge cost system
  • Parts collected from defeated enemies
  • Shield Surge items instantly restore shields to maximum

Special Enemy Interactions

  • Defeat the Local Warlord to reveal the Command Core
  • Destroy the Command Core to deactivate Extinction Engines
  • Trader and Merc ships reveal hidden enemy classes
  • Harbinger ships grant shield surges

Strategy Tips

  • Watch your shield count before revealing high-threat hexes.
  • Use threat totals to estimate nearby enemy strength.
  • Prioritize defeating the Local Warlord to expose the Command Core.
  • Deactivate Extinction Engines before engaging them.
  • Save Shield Surges for emergencies.
  • Strong enemies yield better rewards but increase risk.

Thank you!  

My stomach dropped when I saw the post.... Knowing the state of the game and the lack of tutorial, I braced for the worst... :)

The review was perfect for where the game is...

Your wrap up was great because you basically layed out where I am going with the game...  I will be adding a campaign mode with ship upgrades and I want to try to add an Asteroids style battle system... I am not sure if mixing those genres is a good idea, but I am going to give it a try.
