Ah-managed to latch on and get the first cookie. Pretty tricky as in disorienting mechanic--it will take a bit a practice but I am looking forward to eventually finishing the game.

Oh, this was fun! Thank you for providing the cheat sheet to help me find the final few. Good hiding places! Funny dialogs. TBH, I am glad the battles were easy as the main fun is in finding the aliens and reading their descriptions and dialogs.
Bugs: I could not trigger the Washing Machine Alien, tried all sorts of things. In one of the closests, I fell through the floor and ended up inside some no-space and had to restart the game (Windows).
Lovely, weird, odd, cute, strange lands. A lot accomplished in a week! Obviously, with a game of this complexity, there are a lot of ways you could evolve this into a more polished version!
The tutorial helps you figure out what to do, but not how to do it. It was straightforward to scan cretures and put one in the pen. At the store, you have to press E to see the menu, then buy one berry, then it falls down (can be hard to see, look down and around) and you have to use LMB to pick the berry up and go over to the creature, and when you collide the berry with the creature, the creature will eat it.
I quickly gave up on the story and just had fun mutating my creature...

Haunting visuals and sound. The story and mood captured me immediately. I kept trying much longer then usual...the timing is unforgiving, but the save points are a relief. The unlit torches are extremely hard to see--there is realism in that, but it got frurstrating after a while (and the object of the game, as I understand, is to figure out the rules, not find torches?). After finding the first item, I ran out of sanity and time and branches and eventually gave up as I couldn't find the next torch. (I think the second rule was to hold a burning branch.). I spent quite a bit of time and am sad I could not explore more. I like the torch mechanic and the idea of the changing rules. So, I'll try again later...
This game is so cute, and the sound effects are great, and I really would love guidance on how to play. In the through the TV Room, I ate three worms. I saw the footsteps and found the mushroom (because comments)s, which revealed some glowing balls. But I am not able to go anywhere. I can't jump on the ledge where the next set of worms is, and I can jump at the glowing balls but not reach them, and I can't grab anything else with my tongue. I really would like to play: So what am I supposed to do?
Interesting with lots of potential to turn into a full blown game where changes get more subtle as you progress.
I am glad, though, that it started out obvious because just realizing which elevator was which took paying attention (no, it wasn't hard) and going bad and reading the instructions on the page; I didn't enjoy the music, but it was entirely appropriate!
It is a beautiful looking game. I very much like the mechanic of inspiriting various animals, and being able to control some of them, while being just a passenger on others.
Based on some other comments, there may be more in the game than I could figure out?
Here is what I was able to do:
- The snail would go to the rabbit. I can control the rabbit and jump to the worm. The worm goes to another panel, and that's the end of that.
- The goat goes to the penguin, and that's all there is.
- The seal also goes to the rabbit.
I was not able to go anywhere else or do anything else.
Ominous and haunting. Enjoyed it! I felt the vision distance was unnaturally short. The digging/pickaxing gets quickly tedious, but once you found out about threat, it also adds tension. The threat was well telegraphed by the sound, and finding out the hard way was effective. Controls are smooth and intuitive.
Very fun! Scales really well and feels natural as breath and speed increase over time. Puddles are forgiving enough. The buffs make a difference before the waiting gets tedious. Yes, I made it to the ocean and it felt splashy!
Game is tiny in browser; I zoomed my browser to read directions, and then put on my glasses and squinted really hard to play and it was (mostly) ok.
I could imagine this on mobile, perhaps as an alternative to counting sleep, as it is rhythmical, enjoyable and relaxing, and calming.
I spent way too much time trying to get past wave 9 but even though I figured out more how the game works, I didn't manage. Not quite sure how the cards from the shop work as purchased buildings don't seem to show up in my bars. Very polished game!!!
Update: Couldn't leave it be. Figured out how it works. Made it to 20.
