Looking forward to it! Like how your mind works, lol.

You get the creepy, eerie feeling right, and the premise of the game works nicely. I really wanted to get away from the entity and tried probably 40-50 times to eat lollipops and run (and do everything else imaginable that seemed to make no difference).

So the game has potential. You core gameplay loop is fine, it's just all the rest that needs a lot of work. Good luck :)

So many games, so little time 🙈 I still have so many I want to try. I'll stop by yours now!

Thank you, thank you! I'm so glad you liked how it all came together. I think it's what we are most happy with as well, that all the parts came together like we hoped to make a "bigger whole" :)

I like your suggestions too. We will fix hitboxes for a finished/polished version in not too long.

Thank you! With all the positive feedback, we want to finish a polished and slightly bigger version of this game now (the version this could be with no time limit, I guess), but we're also working on a full game that we can hopefully release later this year :) If so, this will be sort of a prequel, I think.

Wow, thank you! Ana has all the credit for the art. I really love it too.

Thank you. Hear you on the variations, but what exactly do you mean by substitutions? Since we got so much feedback, we are now working on a slightly bigger and more polished version with 2 new puzzles with different mechanics.  Hopefully, also a full game later this year.

Hooray! Thank you :)

Great idea, well executed! You really managed to make this weird, disgusting place a consistent, believable world. Gameplay is also creative and very good.

Eeep, not too much I hope :P What scared you? (Since the story is somewhat open to interpretation)

Thank you! I was kind of hoping it would. Ana was a bit worried it was too sad, as well. I have no such boundaries 🙈

Thank you! Yes, I think we both agree on this. Time constraints and all that. Hopefully, we can expand and polish this version a bit and release a new one in not too long.

I liked your game too, btw! :)

Thank you! So happy it resonates with people.

Aww, that's a beutiful description. Sorry, uhm, and you're welcome, and thank you! :D

Yes. Kinda "good sad" I hope :) It makes us a bit sad too, and the bigger story I'm working on for the full game is a lot sadder, lol. Sorry! 🙈

Yey, us! ;) I'll go test your game now.

Thanks for reporting it. We discovered this a bit too late, but we'll surely correct it for a Steam version :)

She's terrible at resting, but very good at everything else. Lucky me 🙈

Steering the cat while in the air was slightly painful, but that was the only, tiny little thing I didn't absolutely love in this game. So well made, from idea to execution, and all the details in between. One of my favourites of this Jam. Really well made.

Nice start/basis. The potential and the many directions you could take with this are promising. If you had time to implement any kind of goal, this would already have been top tier for this Jam, but where you go with this in the future is of course much more important. Good luck :)

Loved the music! Visuals were also nice, and gameplay and controls played their parts in making this a very pleasant little game. Well done to both of you!

Thank you. You point out many of the things we also feel are important and were really hoping to achieve, so we really appreciate the thorough comment :)

Thank you! Happy to hear you had fun with the story :)

Nice idea and it all came together really well. Art, music, vibe, gameplay, difficulty. All very well done.

Nothing wrong with your ambition here :D There's a lot of basic elements missing, like camera movement, sound effects and so on, but it was playable and enjoyable. I'd say you got a good basis for a future game here :)

Ah, didn't think of that. You nailed that reference. Nakama seems very nice. I'll try to remember it if we get a multiplayer idea :)

Great idea, truly innovative thinking, and well executed too. This is my first jam, I must say I'm really impressed by the creativity and diversity of games people came up with :)

Very impressed with this game. Really well done, and spot on the theme as well. That you made everything from scratch is equally impressive. So glad you commented on ours so I could find this gem. Thank you.

Aww! I did it all, diligently noting down all places and times of death - and still got it wrong somehow. Probably my fault, but maybe using a capital letter to mark the start of the word you needed to memorize would have helped. Also really missed running :D These are both minor details, though. Loved the bonkers idea and you really did well on execution too. Great job!

Thank you ❤️

I liked it, but was also very confused. I relatively quickly figured out where I should stand and what to press, but felt I may have missed something since the game ended. Oh well, what was there looked very promising :)

Nice, relaxing gameplay loop. It took some time to figure out how to play, but the gameplay itself was fine. I never quite understood what to do with the raccoon, though. The gameplay window also seemed too small in my browser and slightly too big in full screen, but it was ok to play in FS. All in all, a very well-made game that I feel could be developed further into something even more fun :) Well done!

Very nice! Really well done to include so much in just a week! I enjoyed the boss fights enough to eventually get through both, despite failing a ton. Music was one of my favourite aspects of the game. Overall mechanics and graphics were also really nice. And writing! Made me laugh out loud a few times :D

We really wanted that storybook feeling :D ❤️ Glad you liked it. Nice that you got the puzzles. We didn't have time to polish them all the way, so we agree there should be more signals/feedback there when you get things right. We'll try to adjust it a tiny bit.

EDIT: I really enjoyed your game as well. Lots of fun ideas and really well made! :)

We are really overwhelmed by all the positive responses. Thank you :) We borrowed the music from an earlier title of Ana's, but given this response, we'll contact the sound guy to redo the sound effects and hope to release a larger, more polished version of the game later this Spring :)

Thank you ❤️

It's just a small bonus animation borrowed from a recent dev log that we threw in at the last second. It shows if you click the moon that appears in the game menu after you finish. You should be able to see it in Ana's last dev log, so you don't have to finish it again 😬

(Ana made a series of small games featuring Sonya and the blackbird years ago. After we connected, recently, we've taken up the story. With all the positive response from this stunt, we now hope to release this as a stand-alone experience (prequel) and eventually complete the full game of Sonya's adventure.)

Thank you! I'm intrigued by your game title :D Looking forward to testing it.

It really amazes me too :D Check out Anas other games if you liked it. She's made a beautiful children's book as well :)

Thank you!
