thank you!  we definitely have loads more ideas so hopefully we can get them all in sometime

this is like 20% of the original concept lmao.....

thank you!  my spouse did the art but like half the character designs are mine so this is pretty cool to hear haha

i've had this open for a WEEK thinking "wow i should reply to this" but i don't really know what to say except wow thanks!!  and i also love mini lexy haha.  also ash and liam.  wow those guys came out great.  they feel so bumbling but they sort of bumble in the right direction together

this art is so nice and also really funny because (a) cheezball's interruption corresponds exactly with a real world cheeseball interruption as that section was being written, and (b) i changed it to say "a mysterious force..." at the last minute with the intention that i am the mysterious force but it is a very cat thing as well

i cannot believe how many bosses there are omg.  i am so here for spirelike minesweeper with bosses and items??  cool as hell

as someone who has definitely had sex i did my very best to not be present for,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,  oof

the interface and your little guys are very charming though, very cool idea

(1 edit)

did not expect this to be about getting high in an alley, but i was high on my couch so it really resonated.  very curious where y'all are headed with this because obviously you put some narrative thought into it.  love when characters all talk different too

i do wish i could inspect a trash can and get like, "it's just a trash can", that sort of thing

extremely cute!  hunting for new things is definitely way cooler than if it were just a list of options.  also like that this appears to be in A Place and not just some ui

deployment of "futa" was a bit of a flashbang; seems like you could've skipped gender entirely and just gone in terms of body parts?  which would also allow for some more specific options

sorry, but updating an existing game you'd already published several months ago isn't really keeping with the spirit of this jam

ohh if only there were more of this.  i was definitely getting into it just as it ended

i spent an hour and a half talking to one of you on stream while playing so i don't know what else i can really say!!  i like the conceit and i think there's some interesting stuff going on in the combat and i think i was pretty into that boss music at the end too.  nice work

this is so adorable.  i know the controls are a bit jank but i kind of love it.  it made me feel like i'm really a hapless kobold trying to fix the plumbing despite having no plumbing experience.  really chill music too.  just a good time all around

this is cute!  i'm not familiar with fossil fighters but i can take a guess at what it was like based on this, haha

i wish i'd been able to play it longer but i couldn't seem to defeat any level 2, uh, trainers?  i kept getting stuck in a loop where they'd have only a guy on a blue panel left and then we'd both just keep doing zero damage to each other.  i don't know if i misunderstood something about the battle system?  maybe i needed to grind on level 1s more, but i was already oneshotting everything else

i do like the physical arrangement and how it actually factors in though, that seems interesting!  i'm curious if there are multi-hit moves or other fancier stuff later on

how does this look so much like a 90s dungeon crawler where everything is models that look like they were carved out of clay.  fucking impeccable

AND procgen map???

absolutely ridiculous amount of discipline to decide to do 45 character designs and then actually do them.  i also respect the delicate foresight required to come up with ten base guys who are all likely to be interesting in any combination

this is more a toy than a game i suppose, but good news: i love toys.  had a grand time inventing my own backstory for everyone and trying to guess what different combinations would fuse into

(i have no idea how there could be 50+ combinations though??  ten choose two is 45 right?  i tried different orders but it didn't seem to matter, unless order only matters sometimes?)

man this is a pretty interesting combat system.  it does feel like a rough draft but i think you've got some solid ideas here, like, i was legit excited that i got a different moveset while pinning someone haha

it looks like you've been thinking about it these last couple days so i hope you keep iterating on it, could definitely be really cool

one of the trickiest parts might be making the effects of the opponent's turn more tangible, but probably just playing out some tiny animations (even little numbers and status effects coming off of the player sprite sort of thing) would help a lot there

omg i only just now went back and discovered that you mutate into a different thing depending on what kinda stuff you pick up, incredible touch actually

wow i love little minigame packs.  and i fully respect how you completely lean into the thing you're doing haha

missing advanced tech: if you simply keep jackin off while you're hiding, then the meter would never go down,

i'm so into walking around in renpy.  i'm also so into naming your characters stuff like Dr. Adipose so there's absolutely no question where things are going

had a good time with it!  i was so sure the good doctor was going to do a crazy twist at the end because of all her very pointy teeth grins but i guess i shouldn't have judged her for her teeth.  also i loved how dramatically worse all the alternate endings are, just an entire lifetime of "definitely not as good as if you'd stayed on the spaceship"

whoopsadaisy, i had a problem that only appeared on windows, which i don't use.  hopefully better now

my original idea was that you could pick from several folks to DM, but just doing one proved so complicated that we barely had time to finish that, let alone get to the others

especially if you made the game before the jam even started.  it's a form of spam and it's tiring to deal with

thanks

i'm not on windows so all i can really do is guess, but you could try:

  • install the vc++ 2013 runtime, then try running it again, or;
  • install the latest love2d, then try running the game with that (drag fox flux deluxe.exe onto love.exe — yes this is weird i know)

that's...  odd.  does it say anything else?  what version of windows are you running?

hey, sorry, but real-life porn isn't allowed on itch, and this does appear to comprise pirated commercial porn clips, so i'm afraid i'll have to disqualify it on the grounds of "please don't get me in trouble"

there are a few, but imo puzzle design is its own artform, and: It's Hard.  but like many artforms, one of the best ways to get a sense of it is to look at existing art that inspires you

for specifically managing the logic of a puzzle though...  i don't know exactly what you're looking for, but if you want like a state graph or something, that's usually gonna be done with bespoke tooling, because it would depend so heavily on your rules.  or you could wing it with regular ol flowchart software

really good rule discovery wow, with a great starting hint.  perfect one-room game too

thank you so much!

thank you!

maybe?  it's pretty button-heavy, not sure it would work very well on a touchscreen

you can play it with LÖVE directly on linux or mac

omg i saw this and wanted to reply but lost track of it

i'm glad you appreciated them trying with each other!  i keep wanting to write "they work stuff out but it's not free" and it's so hard to do that convincingly but i do think it worked out here

also i love eve thank you for mentioning eve.  the whole way she talks is so funny to me i love writing her

idk, i think a "read all this lore first" thing would mostly be daunting?  you even explained how it's mostly inferrable by context (and clover does refer to the characters as satyrs, so they're clearly what satyrs are).  that said, i do have a dumb idea for addressing this a little, but i do also actively like that there are things that aren't just spelled out — i think it helps the world feel bigger when not everything is For The Story, when sometimes the story intersects things that you only catch a glimpse of in passing

i agree, good job clover, get that k (kobold)

can you be more specific??  what did you check?  the whole game is too big to upload at once i think

me to

well in theory they also work out of the box

(1 edit)

hahaha WELL i would like it to be something a broad audience can appreciate, but i also figure, if hideo kojima can do, uh, his whole thing, then i should be allowed to have a fox turn into a balloon

glad you liked it, thank you!  i also love the little cat guy.  i'm still pluggin' away at it don't worry

(2 edits)

i'm pretty sure it doesn't??

are you using MaxSecure?  it looks like it has a false positive for lua51.dll, which is just the library for the lua programming language (which the game is written in)

i checked it on virustotal, you can see that no other scanners have a problem with it: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/de413f37ebd5f9c58bdcb6a4d1189711e4bdd8f0b3a7...

i just wanted to tell you that this inspired my spouse to finally make some work expressing their own abuse.

so, thank you.

i am, ty!  there's later builds on my patreon.  been a while since the last one (i was working on something else for some time) but i've been trying to finish some stuff up so i can post a big update there soon.  and it will include lexy's house if that's what you mean.  sort of

it'll definitely be in the final game!

but out of curiosity, what do you want to change them to?

thank you, glad you enjoyed!

thank you, i worked hard on the movement  :)  and the maps are all made with tiled — i wrote my own loader but i think there are some more standard ones floating around
