I am COMPLETELY new to RPG games in general so I am excited to start this new hobby with this :))

this was my first time playing a solo game, and I loved it. I will play this again in the future.

I just did a solo playthrough, and it was such an emotional, evocative experience. It really got my imagination going. I created a video of my session, complete with narration, sound, and music to share with my brother — here's the video if anyone's curious:

No worries if not, I just wanted to show some appreciation.

Thank you so much for crafting this gentle but deeply atmospheric RPG. It’s a quiet gem.

This looks absolutely delightful and I cannot WAIT to play it. The core story theme is inspired frankly. I literally printed this sucker up and it's going straight into my travel games folder.

I am really glad. Let me know how it goes. :)

I love this game. I play it while drinking coffee to be a heretic.

Haha... so do I sometimes tbh. Thanks for leaving a comment, and enjoy whatever beverage takes your fancy.

First solo journaling rpg I've ever played. Really easy to pick up and just start. First playthrough turned out quite unexpected but was amazing. 10/10.

I am really glad that you enjoyed Last Tea Shop. Thanks for sharing your comment. :)

Very cozy and cute little game! I love how simple it is yet how deep and introspective it can get. Great way to jog some creative writing muscles :)

Thank you for your comment. I am really glad that it connected. 🙏

Wow… what a great little game! I wanted to play it with a person who doesn't know English and I promptly translated it into my language, Italian. If you like, I can share the file so you can make it available to the community. Bye

This is one of my favorite games now, and it made me really emotional by the end. It kind of gave me Spiritfarer vibes, which may have just been my playthrough. It's a gentle game, but deeply reflective and emotional. I especially loved the ties between each customer.

hi! I'm Jerry from Taiwan. I really like your Last Tea Shop and I do a translation to Mandarin. Here is the link and welcome to add download list. :)

Thanks again for this great solo journaling TTRPG.

A very nice example how simple mechanics and good premise can lead to some deep thinking.  My mind immediately reacting to the prompts, the stories of the characters sprung up naturally.

Thanks for the game.

Still great to read your game. Tea is always a great way to talk about deep things, in-character or in-real-life. Thanks

(i shared your link in my last year's 21th newsletter focused on solo ttrpgs)

I love this so much! The first time I play it I write next person unravel the stories. In the end, when I read it to my partner, they loved how each person had a story continuing the last person.

I am inspired to create an animation based on my playthrough. Thank you for the game!

This was way too long on my to play list, somehow I never found the time to play and I regret playing it so late. This was such an easy one to play, as the questions formed an interesting story while answering all of them. Especially the connections between the visitors were so interesting to explore.
I had to translate a few words here and there as English is not my first language and this way I learned new words and new brews. I would recommend translating the supplies first, in case you do not know all of the words. It distracted a bit from the story to find the right translations for them, but on the other hand this gave some time to think about the brew and the visitor and maybe why they brought this kind of ingredient (looking at kawakawa leafs). It was quite funny as I only had visitors in the shop who either brought ingredients or had no side effects at all, this was so strange.
Will play again for sure and I am eager to try out the two player version as well. I need to see the other effects of the visitors that I did not meet.

Really liked to see so many different playthroughs. Read them after my play and enjoyed the different outcomes so much. This was especially interesting as I was not sure how long the entries for the visitors were supposed to be. I know you can always adapt and expand or shorten in solo plays, but I got some inspiration to keep the entries a bit shorter for my next play. Mine tended to be a bit long for my taste.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words. I am glad the game resonated with you. :)

Hello, I just wanted to ask something. So I know that under the licence I can print it and make money off the game. But here in Argentina, there are almost no solo RPGs. So with a local gaming shop we wanted to print the game, give classes on solo RPGs and sell it for the cheapest price possible. Not to make a quick buck, as we would make next to money(as we would sell it for literal pennies) but to spread the culture of indie and solo RPGs.

I was wondering if we had your approval to do that.

I am sorry for my slow reply. Please feel free to print and share for local sessions and classes. Let me know how it goes!

I spent some time with this last night, and I'm happy to say that it's the first solo RPG I've ever completed. Took me probably about 3 hours if we remove distractions from the equation, and I enjoyed every second of it. I'll admit to crying some happy tears near the end!

I will definitely be returning to check out the "full" version when I feel like sinking my mind into bittersweet coziness again. Thank you for your hard work!

I am so pleased. Thank you for writing and letting me know. Comments like this are why I make these games. :)
