There is, aside from the one text on the floor, no indication of decreasing altitude, and the right way up, the geometry is both unstandard and labyrinthine, mixed with constant tricks and dead ends, it is nearly unnavigable without a lasting migraine.

You are absolutely correct. The game gets stale after a bit because there is no indication of progress being made.

Sure it's fun to feel lost the first time you enter when you don't know what's around the next corner, but when you're on your 13th room you're sure you've never seen before and then find yourself right back at the beginning, it's really frustrating

The maze is way too difficult for a game jam, so much so that I'm almost certain that no one other than me has ever seen the core. When I first made it, I tried searching for it for 2 hours with a friend and we couldn't find it.

I already knew about these quirks, but you're the only one that pointed them out. Everyone else just kinda brushed over them and said the game was cool, which it is, but won't really help me make a better one next time. On the other hand, the positive comments are really motivating me to actually make another game, so it's a double edged sword.

Anyway, enough about me. Don't feel the need to respond, I've taken up enough of your time already

Again, the style of this game is really great, and the labyrinthine idea is not even a necessarily bad one, it's an iron triangle between the confusing stylization, the strange geometry, and the maze complexity.
