New Zine Coming Soon ft. Where I've Been

Hey everyone!

How are you going? It's been a hot minute, hasn't it? I'm about to publish my first project in many years, so I wanted to write a bit of an update on where I've been and what's coming up!

Since we last talked, I've become part of the Oh Joy Sex Toy team, and I've made over 250 pages of auto-bio sex-education comics with them for the last 4 years! I've written several stories for Filthy Figments, most notably my asexual smut comic Fuckin' Ace! Plus, I've been quietly running my own Patreon, and I am now making my own little projects again.

What's coming up:

On November 6th (less than two weeks away!), I'm publishing a brand-new zine!

There are things I only draw when I'm sad, and it's only through the act of art-making that I can navigate the dark. This book brings to light 3 years' worth of illustrations to chart the story of my resilience.

  • 57 pages of deeply personal art.
  • Over 18 lush illustrations paired with a moving, uplifting narrative.
  • A lighthearted 10-page epilogue that explores an internal family system and how it came to be.

Content Warning: heavy mental health topics, mention of sexual assault, artistic nudity.

The zine's digital download will be available for $5.49 USD (roughly $8.00 AUD) right here on itch.io! I'm really quite proud of this one, and I really hope you'll enjoy it!

I've also got a much bigger (and sexier) project coming out next year that I'm putting my head down to get over the finish line, so please look forward to that as well!

A fun treat in the meantime:

I can't remember if I've ever made this project public or not, but my very last little game I made was a prototype for a dog-befriending musical called How To Be Happy! I was chosen for a grant and worked on a little slice of that experience for a while, but I never ended up pursuing it further afterward and I've always felt quite bad about that. Still, I put quite a lot of heart into that piece, and it'd be a shame if I let my guilt hide it away forever.

And so: I've made the complete prototype full of art and animation and silly music available for archiving purposes! You can check out the page and have a little play here! Please note that I made this over 4 years ago so, you know, old art ft. out of date information and all that!

Thank you!

I don't actually know if this post will reach anyone, but if you're reading this, I just wanted to say: thank you! Thank you for keeping an eye on my work and for supporting me all these years. If we haven't talked in a while, please feel free to reach out! Hopefully you'll enjoy the new zine and all the stuff that I've been up to that you might have missed out on!

Otherwise, I hope you're doing well. Hang in there! See you very soon! Take it easy, and take care.

it's funny you posted on itch.io today because earlier i recorded a lecture that showed i pet a dog in this one, yes i told the class it was just a prototype but i love it so much anyways (it's asynchronous so sadly i won't get to see their reactions).

OH and i used to show 2 pages from it will be hard but decided that mayyyyyyybe i don't want to take risks with that one (this is for a general-ed art appreciation class in a very conservative town) lol

Aw that's so sweet of you! Hopefully there's a lot more of my stuff that you can show examples from now that might be safer haha. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from ya always!

I'm lucky that I became aware of your work recently because now you're back! Your work had me hooked, inspired, in awe, and deeply moved the moment I saw it. I've read almost everything you've made, and I truly love it all.  Sorry for spilling all of this out here, but I really wanted you to know that You're a real inspiration to me, and I hope to make comics the same way yours make me feel. I'll always make sure to keep an eye out for your work.

Thank you so much for such a kind message!!! Please don't be sorry at all, I really appreciate it. It does the heart good to hear your work matters to someone, always. I really enjoyed your stuff too! It's very raw and personal, and feels like you've made them for yourself which is the most important thing. Keep going!
