This one's alright. The map feels a bit empty and some feedback feels missing to the player, like the stamina and when your torch is about to go flat completely. The darkness and tension was neat. I would've liked to see a bit more sound design.

The player looks decent, but it looks a bit weird against the perspective of the building you're travelling through. Also the flashlight and non flashlight views are a bit confusing.

Decent concept overall.

I didn't encounter any bugs in the web version. I liked the art and the general concept, but without a map, there is no hope for me to complete this game. I also didn't hear any music play. Check out Wick Editor for these type of game jams in the future. Best of luck.

Unlike many other commenters here, I didn't run into any bugs regarding the web dev version! I like the art of the main character, and the menus/systems all seem to be implemented pretty well. My main issue comes with the fact that I found the process of walking around to be very boring, and I felt that I lacked any incentive to play or discover new paths. This is still a good submission overall, though, and for being made in a single week, I think it's worth praising! Great job and great game!

The limited field of view and the flickering of the flashlight really made this feel stressful in a good way! I played the web version and I don't believe I experienced any bugs (definitely none of the ones others mentioned here); although, I wasn't able to complete the game. The time to walk back to where you last died and try another path was just a bit too long for me to stick with it past a few playthroughs but I really like what you were going for. I think you've got a great atmosphere here, great work!

The web version needs alot of work (It's not good)

Like the game, audio of this game is the highlight and environment also great

Just need more polish and it would be a great game

Amazing job overall!

I know it is optimized for a downloaded version but there were some issue in the web browser that made it quite difficult to play the game. The flashlight would occasionally stop moving or the game would freeze and knock itself out of fullscreen.

Thanks for the feedback. It was my first attempt at making a web build, so I wasn't sure how it would turn out. I'll definitely do my best to improve it  in  the future

So i liked the main mechanic of moving the mouse in a circle it kinda bugged a little but it was ok. the you can run option gave me fear so i liked that detail. I was a bit lost while navigating the map so a map button would be nice, and i died for nt having bateries alot. i think the bugs came cause i played the web version so take that in mind. Overall good game

Developer

Thanks for playing and leaving some feedback!

i played the web version and I encountered several issues with the UI. Sometimes, menus do not close properly and when I pressed a few buttons, the "do you want to really leave the game" notification got stuck on screen.

So I really was not able to play that far before quitting. But I think I would have liked it without the bugs.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a shot anyway. I'll definitely look more into why those bugs happen in the web version

One of the few games that really nailed the horror atmosphere! The art is pretty I especially love the title screen art, the color palette is really nice. As others have already mentioned the flashlight not following the mouse correctly, was a bit distracting, but otherwise great work!

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you liked the atmosphere of the game

The flashlight concept and sound design work very well. There's a sense of danger nearby. I also liked the visual.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

interesting concept and flashlight is done well, creates some tensions and you need to work around it, however it was hard to get an idea of how much battery was left. the same issue with stamina I was just running until it stopped because there was no feedback to the player

other than that solid work! :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I was kind of aiming for the unknown battery life to be an additional scare factor, as in the player would be worried how much light they have left and whether they'll be able to find additional batteries on time.

Pretty cool game looks very pretty, i had problem fulscreening it the itch fullscreen seems to override the unity fullscreen and just fills the screen with black? maybe its a problem on my side.

Nah, it's 90% game's fault. I have to experiment more and learn how to properly make web builds, so it's highly probable that the resolution is bugged. Thanks for giving the game a shot!
