How does the game fit the theme?
I took a rather literal approach to the theme with this game by making the environments themselves rather strange. The game is supposed to invoke some kind of eerie strange feeling.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The 3D assets are from a free asset pack made by KenneyNL. The link to his page is credited at the bottom of the itch page. I did all of the code myself.

I really loved the visuals. The coloring was great and really added to the vibe of the game. The narrator was a brilliant touch, it was funny and helpful. I really liked this one, well done!

Cool presentation of a spot the difference type of game! The narrator/audio/lighting (and end ofc) really helps give things an eerie feeling which  I liked a lot. I would have liked the hints to take a bit longer to start so that I could spend more time searching the environment myself. Maybe some more neutral banter from the narrator inbewteen for more flavor but less assistance could work? Or having the hint parts of the narrator be triggers after several wrong guesses? Great job with this though! It's really well rounded, polished, and self contained which is super impressive for a jam!

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! The hints being too fast was a complaint I heard from one of the people I had playtesting before and that was before I increased the time between hints, seems like I didn't increase them enough haha. The hints being triggered by several wrong guesses is a really good suggestion though, I could see that working.I'm glad to hear I successfully got the correct vibe across :)

GREAT style. Perfect for game jams and made the game feel unique and really polished. Gameplay was good too, though it was the atmosphere and style that really kept me in. Very solid work!

Very cool mechanic and atmosphere!
I want more quick searches of odd things in the house!

I enjoyed playing this a lot! Super polished, and the feedback is amazing on everything. I was confused at first with the rotating boxes, but then it became clear, and the curve is very smooth for such a short game. Very good work!

One of my favs on this gamejam. Reminds me a lot of Perfect Vermin.

Looking for the subtle differences was a fun challenge, the stovetop one I didn't understand however all the rest were super creative and gave that "How did I miss that?" effect. Really enjoyed the experience!

Developer(+1)

I'm really glad you enjoyed it The stovetop one had well, a keyboard on the stovetop, which  I suppose should not be there? I can see how that one can look confusing though.

Ah that makes sense, I don't know why I thought it was like a baking tray or something probably my own skill issue lol

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

No I see how that can be pretty hard to see what it is. The colours do limit visibility a bit so, maybe I should've looked into making that one a bit more visible.

Great Sound Effects. Also i love the humor and the vibe it gives. Thank you

This can become challanging but randomly clicking on things is also fun xd

That was a cool wheres waldo type of game! Reminds me sorta of I'm on observation duty too

Developer

Both of those are the inspirations I had listed in my GDD so great that it conveys that well haha. Thank you for playing!

The vibe was spot on, I did find a few of the screens hard to see (oversaturated?...might be because of HDR). I had to laugh a bit about some of the weird positions items were in, like the laptop inside the bathtub. All in all a great gamejam game, good job!

Developer

Thanks a lot. I'm glad to hear the vibe was right because it's hard to judge that myself after looking at it for days at a time. Thanks for letting me know about colors, could be that I tuned them a bit wrong so I might look into that for the next time!

What an odd game.. Jk, this was incredible and looks stunning! Very nice use of light switches to build an atmosphere, and text comms to give hints, and jokes. Very polished, well done!

Developer

Hahaha, I appreciate the pun :). I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed the game. Thanks for playing!

I really liked this one! Had the page open to vote as soon as I could. It has the right amount of humor and it has a certain creepiness that I find very endearing.

Developer

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the immediate vote and I'm happy I've managed to convey the creepiness well :>
