<p>互動式 <a class="reference internal" href="../glossary.html#term-REPL"><span class="xref std std-term">REPL</span></a> 有兩種變體。經典的基本解釋器在所有平台上都支援，具有最低限度的行控制能力（line control capabilities）。</p>

<p>自 Python 3.13 起，預設會使用新的互動式 shell。這個 shell 支援顏色、多行編輯、歷史瀏覽和貼上模式。要停用顏色，請參閱 <a class="reference internal" href="../using/cmdline.html#using-on-controlling-color"><span class="std std-ref">Controlling color</span></a> 以取得詳細資訊。功能鍵提供了一些額外的功能。<kbd class="kbd docutils literal notranslate">F1</kbd> 進入互動式幫助瀏覽器 <a class="reference internal" href="../library/pydoc.html#module-pydoc" title="pydoc: Documentation generator and online help system."><code class="xref py py-mod docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">pydoc</span></code></a>。<kbd class="kbd docutils literal notranslate">F2</kbd> 允許瀏覽命令列歷史，且不會有輸出，也不會有 <a class="reference internal" href="../glossary.html#term-0"><span class="xref std std-term">>>></span></a> 和 <a class="reference internal" href="../glossary.html#term-..."><span class="xref std std-term">...</span></a> 提示。<kbd class="kbd docutils literal notranslate">F3</kbd> 進入「貼上模式」，這使得貼上較大的程式碼區塊更容易。按 <kbd class="kbd docutils literal notranslate">F3</kbd> 可以返回正常提示。</p>

<p>如果不需要新的互動式 shell，可以透過 <span class="target" id="index-14"></span><a class="reference internal" href="../using/cmdline.html#envvar-PYTHON_BASIC_REPL"><code class="xref std std-envvar docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">PYTHON_BASIC_REPL</span></code></a> 環境變數來停用它。</p>

<p>當一個錯誤發生時，直譯器會印出一個錯誤訊息和堆疊回溯。在互動模式下，它將返回主提示字元；當輸入來自檔案時，它在印出堆疊回溯後以非零退出狀態 (nonzero exit status) 退出。(由 <a class="reference internal" href="../reference/compound_stmts.html#except"><code class="xref std std-keyword docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">except</span></code></a> 子句在 <a class="reference internal" href="../reference/compound_stmts.html#try"><code class="xref std std-keyword docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">try</span></code></a> 陳述式中處理的例外在這種情況下不是錯誤。) 有些錯誤是無條件嚴重的，會導致非零退出狀態；這適用於內部不一致和一些記憶體耗盡的情況。所有的錯誤訊息都被寫入標準錯誤輸出；被執行指令的正常輸出被寫入標準輸出。</p>
