Description
To the community's great credit there are always a large number of jams going on. Participants all have individual preferences about which jams to enter, but currently the filtering options are very limited.
In my specific case, I can't find jams which meet my desired criteria:
Duration: Longer than 3 days
Joined: Greater than 10, fewer than 1000
Date range: [a period of 35 days]
I can filter by duration, but only <3, <7, <15, or >15, so jams in my sweet spot (4-15 days) can't be individually targeted.
Also I will self-filter jams with fewer than 10 people or greater than 1000 for my own preferences. It would be nice to allow the interface itself to filter this for me.
The date range can be figured out from the timeline view, but since the heading is not sticky it gets a little confusing as I need to scroll down multiple pages.
For the purposes of this ticket, the above is the only scope I am directly requesting. But I think more could be done with this feature to help the community.
By keeping track of participant preferences, new upcoming jams that match their interests could have their visibility raised. And jam organizers could see which sort of jams participants are interested in. There could be a number of properties that participants could select to capture certain preferences, such as AI asset tolerance (Forbidden, Neutral, Allowed) or pre-announced constraint (2d graphics, a particular genre, etc).
