Join the Reddit Daily Games Hackathon

We’ve teamed up with Reddit to launch the Reddit Daily Games Hackathon, a virtual game jam running from January 15 to February 12, 2026, with $40,000 in cash prizes and a dedicated award for games made with GameMaker! Winners announced: February 26, 2026
If you’ve ever wanted to get your game in front of a huge audience and see how players really respond, this is a great place to start.

Why this Hackathon?
Now you can build your game and post it to Reddit easily. This means players can playtest it immediately, commenting, sharing, and shaping your game as you iterate.
This Hackathon is in partnership with GameMaker and there's a $5000 prize just for one talented GameMaker user!

The Challenge
The challenge is to create a daily game using Devvit Web, Reddit’s Developer Platform, and its Interactive Posts feature.
Reddit is looking for games that encourage players to come back regularly and spark discussion in the comments.
There’s a push for polish and games that feel close to launch-ready (especially on mobile). So focus on this to score higher.
