Its been a while, and as such, I come with a new asset pack.
Tilesets specifically made for Rpgmaker MV and MZ's change Tileset command. This pack is intended to be a free sample and first entry of a larger project.

Tilesets are lined up in so that tiles of the same category (A (1-5),B, C, D, E) and type (Outside or inside).

This is intended to be a base pack for a line of additional tilesets.

Tilesets include-

Inside

  • Caves (With and without Lava)
  • Greek Temple and Roman arena
  • Medieval Castle
  • Egyptian Temple
  • Wood House
  • Modern/Scifi (2 variants- 1 shop, and 2 lab variants with either bulletin boards or Monitors)
Outside

  • Biomes (with Modern and Gravel road Variants)
    • Normal Grass
    • Dark Grass
    • Desert
  • Large Buildings
    • Greek temple
    • Castle (5 Variants - 4 with different colored flags, 1 no flag) and church
    • Egyptian Temple
    • Event center/Modern Stadium and Playground
  • Generic buildings
    • Huts
    • Tents (two variants- tan and colored)
    • Wood Houses

Thank you. One of the things I noticed with RPG maker is that there are a bunch of tilesets available, but none are made for specific compatibility with the "Change Tileset" function that comes standard.

Right now I am in the process of creating a winter/Ice theme.

Any additional ideas for when I am done with that?

One thing that people are always asking for is ruined versions of things, so you could create ruined versions of all of your buildings and other objects. One thing that I made for MV that was pretty popular was a "haunted" version of all the graveyard tiles, so maybe something like that too with a ghostly aura or ectoplasm/slime stuck to the surfaces. Just throwing some stuff out there :)

Just pushed a new update. I have now changed the order of the A1, A2, and A4 tiles into something somewhat comprehensible for us mortals. I also added a few new pieces, and changed how the water looks. The one on the Right is new, the one on the Left is old.

Major Update:

  • Added “dark” versions of various tilesets
  • Removed “marbled” versions of greek/roman tilesets (mostly for sanity in case of need to edit)
  • Split old Sci Fi C generic sets in two- modern (old version, renamed as it better suits current intent) and Sci Fi (which has a more futuristic look, with Holograms and laser bars)
  • “Standard” Tileset grass is now a slightly darker, less eybleeding shade
  • Fixed mixup with Tower walls
  • fixed tents in A4
  • A1 & A2 Beach added
  • Sci Fi Buildings 2 has been renamed City and has been split into multiple variants to for consistent colorations. The original color has been renamed as generic.
  • D Buildings have had their names shuffled around so that D Inside Generic Furniture can be found
  • A1 and A2 Beach added
  • Rearranged various Tilesets so as to minimize items being cut in half
  • Added stairs to go down a floor

Since bookshelves don't really match up with a living level, how about neurons instead?

I love these! I'm planning to buy every single entry in this series (I already got the free base pack) and use it to create a fictional game in the universe of a series I made for YouTube. I love the idea of swapping worlds just by swapping tilesets... might even create a concept where the tileset changes when night falls.
In the universe of the series, this game is supposed to be a virus... but don't worry, I have no intention of actually infecting computers! The game idea (which will be for the video only) is inspired by Sonic Gather Battle, which I wanted to play one day until I heard it was spyware and, since then, discontinued. However, I was also highly inspired by games like Luna Game (I think it was called that) and, shockingly, KinitoPet. Why KinitoPet? Not revealing, but know that the old "Mario Virus" plays into it too...
Man, I went off on a tangent! Should I make an entire thread somewhere about the episode of "The VHS Mystery: Sideshow" where this game appears? I think I will... maybe I'd better start building the game first, though. I want something to show for this.

Pepper hopped up on my bed to snuggle earlier... and now there's grains of kitty litter all over the foot of my bed. Now she's in her own bed fast asleep. Sometimes, I like to wonder what Pepper dreams about... does she dream of chasing her toys? Pouncing on the lizards she sees on her patio? Purring in a sunny window? Receiving pets and scritchies?
Oh no... she's back in my bed.
Really interesting seeing the public be so okay with the placeholder art in Slay the Spire 2. I guess they trust in the potential of the final product, but it would be cool if the general consumer had a better understanding of dev pipelines.
Haven't updated my status in awhile. I'm taking a short break from working on my game because I have a sliiiight burnout,,
