Event RPG Maker Asset Contest

Graphics, music, and various other assets are essential for game development.

Now, on itch.io, where countless creators gather, Gotcha Gotcha Games, the developer behind the RPG Maker series, is hosting its very first asset contest!

Theme: "Spring"!​

We are accepting submissions in Five Categories:

• Tilesets
• Characters
• Enemies
• Other (System Assets)
• BGM

Grand Prize: One winner per category will receive a Amazon gift card of 50,000 JPY!

The available engines for contest submission are:

• RPG Maker MZ (RPGツクールMZ)
• RPG Maker MV (RPGツクールMV)
• RPG MAKER UNITE

- Tileset Category​

Submit a tileset for map creation.
Please upload one tileset sheet along with a screenshot showing its usage.

- Character Category​

Submit character assets such as walking sprites or map objects.
Please upload one character sheet along with a screenshot showing its usage.

- Enemies Category​

Submit enemy assets for battle scenes.
Please upload an image along with a screenshot showing its usage.

- Sound Category​

Submit audio assets such as BGM, SE, or ME.
Please upload a sample file that can be played for review. (*Note: You can submit up to three tracks for judging.)

- Other Category​

Submit system-related assets such as UI elements or icons.
Please upload an image along with a screenshot showing its usage.



By submitting an entry, you agree to the terms and conditions of this contest.

How to Submit:​

• Post your submission on itch.io under assets tag.
• Upload your assets as free downloads.
• Each participant can submit up to 3 entries per category.

Required Tags:​

Make sure to include the corresponding tag for your entry.
Submissions without the required tags will not be considered.

Submission Period: February 27, 2025 – May 31, 2025
Results Announcement: Expected in June 2025


Gotcha Gotcha Games will review and judge the entries.

• Violations of any laws or regulations
• Violent, discriminatory, or explicit content, or anything against public order and morality
• Content that defames or harms individuals, companies, or groups, or violates privacy
• Content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights, or any intellectual property rights
• Content that does not align with the purpose of this contest
• AI-generated content

Copyright & Intellectual Property:

• All submitted works must be original creations by the participant.
• If a winning entry is later found to violate copyrights or the contest rules, the award may be revoked even after the announcement.

Violation of Rules:

If a participant engages in any prohibited behavior, such as violating these rules, defaming other participants, or causing harm, their entry may be disqualified, even after winning.
