Not sure what rules are for discussion or if you can post what you voted for what but I voted for cookie mountain quest after playing both games for a bit. Phernil Academy though it's a good concept is just not as finished and even the lead creator of the game basically said he knew cookie mountain was going to win which was very humble of him to admit so that's my vote.

I didn't plan to post anything here, but just felt that I should in case some people think that the dev self-voted. :p

Despite being unfinished, I feel Phernil Academy has a very interesting concept, especially for an RM game. Given more time, I believe this game will be very good, much better than what it is now. If I had more time, I would post in his thread with feedback, but sadly, I don't have the luxury at the moment.

Interesting concept, good and versatile use of scripts to bring to life, great attitude for a dev, not to mention the graphics (including fonts) and music chosen are mostly both appropriate and appealing to me. That's why my vote goes to this game. I hope his team will complete this game one day.

Cookie Mountain Quest is well done as well, and I congratulate the devs for completing it in such a short time.

To everyone else who attempted the Jam and didn't manage a playable game, good work in trying your best regardless. Next time will be the winner.  :D

Sorry we couldn't finish our game in time, we had something good going on, but failed to deliver, it's also a shame that the contest didn't catch on as much as it could have here. Anyway I'll definitely give my vote to Cookie Mountain Quest: it's afantastic game. Though I also want to praise Phernil academy for its unique approach and gameplay. Congrats on finishing your games both of you guys. You should be proud of yourselves. :)

I'm casting my vote for Phernil. It's just common courtesy to vote for your opponent in my opinion. On top of that, winning isn't really all that important.
It was the effort we put into our game. The time. The sweat. The tears. The blood. That's what matters.
I really wish we had a bigger turnout than this (._.)

Great job @SwiftIllusion and I hope to compete with you again soon.

Though it's the only project beside mine to vote for, that's not all my reason for giving a vote to Cookie Mountain Quest.
I can end up super over critical with games which leads to me being unable to enjoy playing many at all, but Cookie Mountain quest from start to finish was a thoroughly enjoyable and engaging experience. I loved all my time with it so I couldn't be happier to vote for it, and I hope that the limited selection of entries doesn't cheapen its victory if it wins as it totally deserves it. The care and effort is clear throughout and the design and pacing felt well crafted.
Honored to have been able to be in this contest beside it :). Sorry to all those who didn't finish an entry in time but I hope your experience will be able to go towards your future projects.

And thank you so much everyone for the kind words towards our project, absolutely made my day without question ^^!

I vote for the cookie mountain, cos its amazing and cool and i just love all the bits and pieces, plus I am not much of a mario or zelda fan, but i liked what the game did with that style. also that troll or whatever it was blocking the bridge is such a troll XD. I Also love cookies, and love that its like a kind of food in the game to heal the health.

Finally voted!

I did not want to vote until I have played the actual game, and I wanted to write a review for it, but finally I have had the time to look over cookie mountain. I´d love to do something with the competitor as well!

Ok, I think a good time to end this is October 1st, so get those votes in if you haven't already.

Cookie Mountain Quest is the clear winner here. Now to figure out a prize for the winning team.

Congrats! Good job to all who took part in this (or tried to at least). Now to figure out prizes.

Pepper hopped up on my bed to snuggle earlier... and now there's grains of kitty litter all over the foot of my bed. Now she's in her own bed fast asleep. Sometimes, I like to wonder what Pepper dreams about... does she dream of chasing her toys? Pouncing on the lizards she sees on her patio? Purring in a sunny window? Receiving pets and scritchies?
Oh no... she's back in my bed.
Really interesting seeing the public be so okay with the placeholder art in Slay the Spire 2. I guess they trust in the potential of the final product, but it would be cool if the general consumer had a better understanding of dev pipelines.
Haven't updated my status in awhile. I'm taking a short break from working on my game because I have a sliiiight burnout,,
