Alright and fixed the face disappearance issue (if wait codes used) at the end. Also I can't do both

Like I'm sure there's a way to input the idle animation during wait but that was not the intended scope of the plugin lol Feel free to add it yourself if that is what you desire

Or I may get around to it later, but at the moment my workload is pretty high.

Try re-downloading. You may have an older version during my mad-upload-dash (did it like 5 times that day). The latest version should work.

Just wanted to say this plugin works really well (at least the 1.0 version), and makes conversations in my project feel a lot more dynamic! It's really easy to set up and use too, so I'd recommend anyone just starting up a project to consider using it! If you're already half way through it does take a while to remake the faces of your characters for this system, so maybe consider that though.

All in all, this is a really great plugin!

I seem to have the problem where the blink animation doesn't seem to run as well. Also, I can't seem to get any noticeable difference when adjusting the animation delay min/max. I've pumped them up as high as 500 but the animation plays out the same.

Have you tried the latest version? I tested it out just yesterday (because I was curious) and it works for me.. (Re: The blinking/idle anims). You need to make sure you have idle animations set on the top row, and the number of idle frames = that many frames set.

As for the delay - I'll look into that as soon as I can (sometime today/night).

!! UPDATED (v1.3) !!

Turns out there were indeed a couple of things broken.
* "this.pause" is also applied when the message is done, and so because of that, it doesn't want to do any more. I removed it, and idle anims worked again.
* Animation delay was being read as strings, so it wasn't even getting the correct values. I've fixed that as well. You can get the latest versions either on github or the OP attachments.

Hey, love the idea of this plugin it adds more life to dialog in the game! Is there any possibility of providing this for busts? Like waist up character art displayed behind or above the text box!

I'm sure it's possible. I'll put it on my ToDo list, but not sure when I'll get to it. Already got quite a work load lol. You could also try putting it in a plugin request, and maybe another dev will pick it up before I can get to it.

Hi, if you don't mind @lordvalinar can you provide sample game or demo for how to make this plugin work, because I don't know why I can't make it work. I already follow your instruction to make animated face first and plug the plugin. but it not working.

A demo isn't really necessary though. Are you sure you followed the steps?
-> Create a faceset (like the example - or similar); Ensure it's in the faces\ folder and begins with "anim_"
-> Enabling the plugin (ensure it's in js\plugins\ folder and turned ON)
-> Ensure the idle animation frames and speak frames matches the number of frames of the appropriate row (Idle = top, speaking = bottom)
-> Are you running any other plugins that modify message windows/faces ? (place mine below those if so)

Hi @lordvalinar, Thanks it work now, I can't make it working before it because I'm not change the name on my character (face) begin with "anim_" silly me

Thanks for considering it and no issues if you never get around to it. The fact that you share the hard work you put into your plugins freely is amazing enough!

However, I noticed that the speaking animation starts immediately and especially with very short texts it's barely recognizable because the animation happens already when the window builds up. Maybe you can add a plugin setting that says how many frames the plugin waits before starting the animation? Like 30 frames idle, then talking animation, then idle again.

Well that is outside the scope of this plugin; However, I do have a suggestion. This is something I do in my projects:
-> Use a static face set & the animated one
-> Display Message using the static face, can leave it blank, or ... or whatever; "wait" x frames, auto-next message:
-> Display Message using the animated face
