Brain and Nerd Ltd.

Brain and Nerd is an independent development studio which has worked on its own game projects in Northern Ireland for over seven years. We specialise in procedural generation in games, engine and tool development, and customer-led development, and were the first Irish studio to successfully crowdfund a game on Kickstarter with sci-fi 4X game Predestination. We developed and self-published Predestination on Steam's Early Access programme and launched the game in February 2019.

Brain and Nerd won Game of the Year at the 2018 NI Game Awards for Predestination's V1.0 release and the Community Award for our work helping students and other local studios. We completed re-training with the Unity game engine to accelerate development of new projects and have have been a leading studio in the Pixel Mill game development accelerator run by NI Screen since November 2018.
